lol. perhaps too many assumptions in that? i.e.,

1) gold digging being a realistic practice

2) that because of gold digging, love has no place to stand

3) definition of ideal--too sweeping?

4) human procreation being a big problem.

main point is: every relationship is between two. if both are willing, then, nothing either right nor wrong. just what you are willing to give, and what you are willing to accept in return.

love's not the stock market. in matters of love, be gentle, with your own heart, and the hearts of others.

love's not love if it has to be calculated, if it has to be a zero sum game, if it has to be analysed, if it has to be a cost-benefit game of winner and loser.

if one's counting the costs, materially or otherwise, then perhaps, one does not know what love is.

because, there should only be three words in the equation: it shouldn't have to be

"I love you because..."

or "I love you if...."

those are conditions.

Simply, it should be,

"I love you."

that is all, and that is elfin love for ya.

have a good weekend, all! cheers!

rather a single blade of grass from a true heart than the Hope Diamond from a false heart.

Not true about not making during CNY pre and after. It's timing that matters. Elfie has been scalping. lost two counters, made on 8. a further 4 still in play. excluding two long term holdings. Jan locked in abt 10% of capital expended. Feb is up and counting. all in all, has been a good time.

Follow the trend. Stick with the rules. That's all. Agree with tabbykat. take one strat that works for you, and stick with it. Cut out all emotions.

hullo singaporegal! *waves hi*

have been busy clearing up stuff at work. last day 22nd feb. can't wait. hehe.

trading a little here and there.

jade just got suspended. *bemused* i can imagine. SGX query: We have noticed abnormal trading activity on your counter. Can you give any reason or account for the abnormally high volumes?

Jade mgmt: We have no idea why. There is nothing out of the ordinary, and top shareholders have not been trading.

to that effect. hehe.

?? if you're a techie, you simply follow the signals. no need to shiver or bite nails, or hope or get arrogant etc. emotions do not belong in technicals.

relax lah. 4 day break. happy chinese new year! spend it with family and friends! am definitely looking forward to tomorrow (or rather, today.)

cheers! :)

see if the 1.16-1.2 is able to hold in coming sessions. doesn't look like it though...very weak. needs to break 1.45 for uptrend to be in place. so for daily traders, there's your range.

cheers! :)

farmer,

may like to note that technically, ocbc has pinged off its low three times already, 7.09 lowest has held since aug 17th last year. elf is waiting for ~7.1 for first strike. (for long term holding in elfin time. ie, abt 3 mths)

FA-wise, OCBC is actually the 'safest' of the three banks: last quarter, they took the very gutsy step of writing down 80% of their CDO obligations already; means that only this of the three local banks has fully (or nearly fully) written off the CDO exposure for this FY. For this alone, i'd take ocbc above the other two, on fundamentals.

just fyi yea...

*bemused*

baseerahmed, no problem with the songs. load 'em up! it's a free forum, and a fellowship. :)

samuel_ng, welcome. sorry you felt desperate. we're not an unfriendly bunch, don't worry. Just that sometimes due to work and other reasons, we may not log onto the forum/same threads all the time. It's all free and easy. don't worry. :)

trading vols, as singaporegal pointed out: normally low in holidays as traders will be on break/holiday mood. generally, average vol on STI is about 2-3bil.

This period has been thin though, below 2 bil. So normally, for a trader, need to be very careful as there may be volatile swings if some big boy dumps/buys up huge lots. Sometimes, gap ups/downs may occur as a person sells down the quotes/buys up the quotes. That's when you see extremely rapid movement in a short time.

The alternative, in the current climate, is if the US stays constant or up, then, STI will likely be dormant this period/slight up. If a big swing occurs, be prepared for dip.

perhaps you can share why your wings are aching. :)

haha, hey cashiertan and manikam, time out, yea? :)

and hehe, elves are not for sale lah. you can't buy an elf for all the gold in the world. keke.

thanks for your concern, singaporegal. i think you're beautiful. hugs to ya! :))))

eldarchen, if you're talking about a shortterm scalp (as in, for tmrw), then you may have a better chance with olam. watch for resistance at 2.68; it needs to break that. caveat emptor k.

yanlord's charts are quite clear actually. not done bottoming yet. may be rangebound for a short while tho. ref to jan 9 to 21st pattern. see how it goes. rem that macros are changing.

ke is a cornered stock, so vol will naturally be low, esp in a weak market, and if there are gaps btwn the bid/ask px.

elf vested tho. since the dip. so caveat emptor. hehe.

smart boy. now then, to make it not so obvious.

and then, like clinton's gay policy in the military: don't ask, don't tell. Smiley

you never heard anything from me. i'm small. i'm a nobody. i disclaim all responsibilities for your deeds. *poof*

state secret. the gahmen would kill me.

lol.

figure it out yourself, dahling: what makes the IVU readable? why do they allow UV screens only of a certain thickness/opaqueness--or should i say, transparency?

oops, and i've said too much.

this never happened. i don't know you, i don't know anyone. caveat emptor. the elf denies any responsibility. as in the market: you fire the gun, you bite the bullet. :P
