While Ir in front of regard reverse the regard = No regard

But Regardless already is a reverse of regard.

When you add Ir to regardless , you did a double reversal. Than it become the original = Regard.

The correct word should just be Regardless

No such thing as Irregardless.

Just Regardless will do.
