Upgrade to BUY. Using CapLand’s end-FY08 book value, our FY09 RNAV is now pegged at S$3.85 per share. In view of the strengthening of CapLand’s balance sheet after the rights issue, we are lowering our discount for development profits and investment properties, from the previous 40% to now 30%. We continue to peg the valuation of CapLand’s listed investment base at their market values, without discount. As such, our fair value of CapLand has been lowered from S$3.27 to S$2.99 (or ex-rights fair value of S$2.42). We are now upgrading CapLand from HOLD to BUY as the stock has already fallen 34% since our downgrade on 5 Jan 2009 and the overhang from the Rights issue is now lifted.

You mean 2.60 and 2.40 range rite? I saw 2.45 and 2.50 might support for now with buy queue 1K Lot.

So far 2.28 support line hasn't been breach.

Correction. It might be full / near full white candle. Strong buy queue 1K Lot @ 2.45

It might contradict everyone expectations post rights announcement.

Based on DBS trading trend, this counter may end $1.30/0.4 = $3.25 which is the highest value it can go. Seems too risky to short it which was a total contradiction on my initial intention at $2.37 after the opening bell. If the price is to go below $2.5, I may consider buying some. 

 

My guess the chart for today would be full white candle. I will see to sell near at market closing. Cheers

 

wouldn't super good be subjective? if a buyer had bought his shares at $4 or even $3, then the price of $2.50 is not considered super good. but if one had bought it at a low of $2.36, then $2.50 is a return of about 6%. which is still not considered super good.

just using an example:

bought 4 lots at $3 = $12000

2 lots of Rights Issued at 1.30 = $2600

total = 6 lots at $14600

average = $2.43 per share

if sell now, this person make a loss of $0.50 per share. which is a total loss of ($2000)

however, if wait till ex-date the price need to dip until below $2.10 or less then then one will make a loss of more than $2000. just a thought...
