Stop and look up the sky to see the clouds....since no rose around here in S'pore. ha ha!
However, I realised that our life here is so rushing, so result oriented......the latest example: Students to go back to school for classes during exams. C'mon, give the kids, teenagers, parents, teachers a break. HO-LI-DAY la. My child's teacher told her next time cannot go holiday hah! (We are going away for 11 days as a FAMILY during the HOLIDAYS) Now, she is so stressed by the teacher's words she said next time cannot go holiday already!
I wish MOE will seriously think about this. Life is short.....family time is precious!
Sigh!
The Prophet says to "have faith in God but tie up your camel"...which
means...have faith in God but also do what you can to change your
situation or to bring about the result that you want.
Trust God But Tie Your Camel
There was once a man who was on his way back home from market with his camel and, as he’d had a good day, he decided to stop at a mosque along the road and offer his thanks to God.
He left his camel outside and went in with his prayer mat and spent several hours offering thanks to Allah, praying and promising that he’d be a good Muslim in the future, help the poor and be an upstanding pillar of his community.
When he emerged it was already dark and lo and behold – his camel was gone!
He immediately flew into a violent temper and shook his fist at the sky, yelling:
“You traitor, Allah! How could you do this to me? I put all my trust in you and then you go and stab me in the back like this!”
A passing sufi dervish heard the man yelling and chuckled to himself.
“Listen,” he said, “Trust God but, you know, tie up your camel.”
This is the classic answer for those who believe that their faith alone will carry them through life. Innocence can indeed be a valuable shield but there are basic measures that have to be taken just as a matter of common sense. If you leave the jar of honey open by morning it may be full of ants. No amount of belief is going to change the basic facts of living in this world.

I've also read that according to a certain revelation, our real creators, who are said to be intelligenthumans beings with advanced knowledge, will come to our tiny, tiny weeny planet Earth around the year 2035.
Well, we can choose what to believe...
But we should choose, among the multitude of beliefs, the most rationally plausible things to believe in, eg. things that are becoming 'truer' and thus believable, as each decade passes.

Is it really coming? No one know it for sure!
I've read it somewhere before that between Yr 2000 - 2017 a total of 18 yrs, there'll be many lives lost due to natural/man-make disaster.
Not many people will be left over after the era.....sound scary huh?

In the longer run, electric cars, water-powered cars, human cloning, and other things beneficial to all humanity (not just the vested interests) will come to pass.
But that will be a long run indeed...
Singaporegal... :)
I guess your trading must have made you so happy... hehehe...

basheer, yeah, as a eco guy i am looking to buy a electric car rather than drive a petrol drinking ones. It is indeed the big oils and the OPEC behind the screen trying to block the electric car from becoming mass marketed decades ago. go see "who kill the electric car" movie via google and u know why i think this way.
and yes electric car is faster and better than petrol ones and less maint. needed. imagine you just need to change the carbon brush for the electric motor once a year and the battery once every 3 years. brakes change as normal, other than that nothing to maint!
hi all,
as a christian, thou not a fervent one, recent happenings around the world more or less give me a feel that the world is going to end soon as predicted in the revelations. too much signs happen after 2001 and other religions and great prophets also predicting end is coming. some gave 2012. hence i also putting less emphasis on making money as money is not as useful in end days (if it is really coming). do try to spend more time with your loved ones, do more good deeds and also think less on making $$$.
Wow... drink driving.... hahaha...
Were you speeding?

Wealth is only part of the Health equation!
But.....We can swap the word "Health" with "Life" to make it look logical again!
To me, we need to EARN our health.....
Exercise - Attitude - Rest - Nutrition ....haha!
.. also Wealth preserves Health ... !

Health is Wealth !
Look at LKY and Mahathir ..still fighting strong.... sigh... blessed are we all if we all can be make it like them at their age ...hahaha !

Trump probably has realised by now that the world is the way it is, and changing oneself is the only viable option.

What I've Learned : Donald Trump , Titan
I learned a lot from my brother Fred's death. He was a great-looking guy. He had the best personality. He had everything. But he had a problem with alcohol and cigarettes. He knew he had the problem, and it's a tough problem to have. He was ten years older than me, and he would always tell me not to drink or smoke. And to this day I've never had a cigarette. I've never had a glass of alcohol. I won't even drink a cup of coffee. I just stay away from those things because he had such a tremendous problem. Fred did me a great favor. It's one of the greatest favors anyone's ever done for me.
I've never understood why people don't go after the alcohol companies like they did the tobacco companies. Alcohol is a much worse problem than cigarettes.
