OSIM International: Growing on multiple fronts (BUY, S$1.28, TP S$1.62)
Melissa Yeap (6232 3897, melissa.yeap@sg.oskgroup.com)
Terence Wong, CFA (6232 3896, terence.wong@sg.oskgroup.com)

We introduce our FY13-14F estimates and expect FY12-14F earnings to grow at a CAGR of 12%,
driven by new store openings, new product launches and reduced losses from RichLife China. Our
FY12/13/14F are 2-11% below street estimates. We assume same-store-sales for OSIM to be
stronger at 10% in FY12 as there was a major store rationalisation in FY12. We expect sales from
OSIM, which currently account for 75% of Group sales, to register double digit growth of 11-13% in
FY12-14F. As for the nutritional side, a major store rationalization of RichLife China is expected to
reduce that unit’s losses by 50% which will help margins expand. Finally, TWG has made a
successful foray into Hong Kong registering sales which surpass even the most successful outlet in
Singapore. Armed with a huge cash-pile of S$194m, future earnings growth could potentially be
further boosted by M& As. 1QFY12 results will be out on 7 May 2012. Re-iterate BUY with a slightly
higher TP of S$1.62 from S$1.59 previously, pegged to an unchanged 15x FY12F P/E.
OSIM: Expect +40 stores annually. We have assumed +40 net new OSIM outlets annually from
FY12 to FY14 against management’s more bullish target of 50-80. We also peg a 20% discount to
new store sales during the first six months of operation and expect new stores to only open in the
2H. We expect same-store-sales growth of 10% for FY12 as there was a major store rationalisation
in FY11 which saw the number of stores reduced by 16 to 592. From FY13 to FY14, we are
assuming 5% SSSG. Overall we expect OSIM sales which account for 75% of Group sales, to
register double digit sales growth of 11-13%.
Nutrition: RichLife losses to reduce by 50%, new contribution from GNC Taiwan. A major
store rationalisation for Richlife in 1HFY12 would result in the number of outlets reduce from 104 to
60-70, which would essentially reduce RichLife’s losses by 50%. We have assumed 40 store
closures to 64 outlets and assumed a very conservative +10/+20 new outlets in FY13/14
