Stamford Land (SL) received an unsolicited bid for its hotel portfolio for a grand total of A$ 850 million or S$1.05 billion.
Even with the run-up in today's share price, SL's market cap is just S$453.512m (up 17% today).
Based on the bid of S$1.05 billion, the entire hotel portfolio is offering a low yield of (about) 2.1%. Unless there is something spectacular about the hotel's performance in the coming years, I think that at S$1.25billion/yield of 1.75%, SL and Mr OW should seriously consider parting with the pot of gold.

STAMFORD LAND: possible redevelopment Stamford Grand North Ryde Hotel in Australia
Founder Chairman Ow Chio Kiat has pulled out another rabbit from his hat. Stamford Land has, in response to a press report in Australia, announced plans for the possible redevelopment of a 22,000 sqm (236,800 sf) site on which the 257-room Stamford Grand North Ryde Hotel is located.
The plans are for ten 21-storey residential towers with > 600 homes, likely the biggest-ever development by the company.
Note in particular CFO Tay Lai Wat's clarification that the " value of the completed development is expected to significantly exceed A$175 mln mentioned in the press article" . OCK, who has been reminding investors of the bright prospects for Stamford Land in the next 2 financial years, picked up about 2.5 mln shares in Sept-Nov, at as high as 57 cents a share.
We maintain BUY.

Sentiment not good only...how can stamfordland result be weak....OCK had bought so much.....if dividend of 4 cents.....that will be enough.........wait and regret...hahaha...............

The annual results will be announced soon. Someone must have smelled something not so sweet, hence the weakness of the share price. Trade with care.

What is LC dev RNAV? Does it has huge land bank like stamfordland (the sites where the hotels sit)? Does the current assets is 2x the current share price???

Since OCK had bought so much recently, something very positive should be happening......
Anyone attending the agm and ask how the management going to unlock the values.....will development at the hotels sites start as soon as possible.......
No wonder.....expect quite good dividend soon...
Now is the black out period, OCK can only buy after FY announcement in May, next month.
Buy now before the management buy again....
