WELL WHAT I SAID CAME TRUE - SPOTTED BY SOME PEOPLE ALREADY

STOCK UP FROM 66 CTS BEFORE TO 80 CTS

RIGHTFUL PRICE SHOULD BE SLIGHTLY ABOVE $1, INLINE WITH CDL TRUST AND CAP COMM

THEN PROBABLY COMES THE RIGHTS ISSUE

FROM HISTORY SHOULD BE 1 FOR MAYBE 6 TO CLEAR SOME DEBT

ACTUALLY THIS ONE HAS VERY LITTLE DEBT - GOOD FOR MGT AND SHARE HOLDERS

Should be same hospitality category as CDL TRUST - IR coming up, need rooms, not enough hotels

Have now been spotted by fortune seekers

When results release, sure to rocket

I brought for short term. Betting the relt will payout 5cents before annoucement. Stock move 5.5 cents just nice to get some money. Can throw back the principal sum back into Fixed deposit. 10% gain good enough for me.

Trust funds 2007 market daring. now no more in fashion so tend to be over devalue.. =D

Will Recession caused expat to rent service apartment instead of purchasing property??  I think service apartment are cheaper for business travel rather than staying in hotel. Still business and sales staff need to travel right..

Surely got some smart property home owner sell out at 2007/2008 renting at service apartment and waiting to buy fire sales property. NTA 150 buying at 50cent is safe i think for margin at this moment. With the consideration that there might be a opportunity for Capital Land to buy Ascott Reit to boost the Balance Sheet Figure, based on NTA of 150, buying at 75cent will boost the balance NTA by 75cent perhaps ( My guess only)

Vested at 51 cents

Based on 3rd Qtr Result NTA1.51 Assume REIT still stick to 90% of Earnings as Distribute Div.. Earring at 5cents++ waiting for last Qtr result (Betting will have 2 cents)

Return on dividend DPU of 6 cents is achieveable on 4th Qtr Result.. Price at 1/3 of NTA is good discount.. Potientail for some small gain.. After Obama become, After Budget Annoucement, it will annouce Div.... (29 Jan) Timing quite good for some short gain at these price...

Fundamentally, Ascott REIT seems pretty sound; diversified tenant base across fast-growing locations in Asia. Most of these tenants are corporations who book long-term stays for their expatriate employees. Ability of the tenants to pay is not in doubt.

However, recent market sentiment aside, the management of Ascott REIT seems extremely inept at managing analysts/investors expectations. They don't seem to be communicating very much, do they? Perhaps just plain market-unsavvy!

Ascott Residence Trust oversold on concerns over its Vietnam exposure, says Macquarie; reiterates Outperform call with unchanged $2.08 target price. Says, "given that collections are quoted in U.S. dollars, we think the concern about exposure to the Vietnamese dong is overblown." Adds operating expenses are in dong, but service contracts locked in for next 12-24 months, so costs contained until contracts up for renewal. Says dominant position means costs can be passed on in higher rates, no signs of weakening demand yet. Says valuation attractive, stock trading 30% below NAV, offers FY08 yield of 8.4%.

Hey. Anyone knows when will DBS send out the letters or help those who did not accept the offer to sell the shares to Capitalland at 1.73?

Currently still no news from DBS or CDP regarding the delist. Any idea when will it be delisted?

Thanks!

cookieguy,

AscottReit and Ascott Group are separate listings on the SGX.

The Reit will not be privatises but Ascott Group has already been suspended from trading and eventually delisted.
