Surprised that they sold some of the land for a quick flip. Hope they build on the rest rather than sell the rest of the land. Their core biz numbers looking at half year results very good. On track for a 2X growth in net profit.. maybe 3X so should easily trade back into the 30c area

Anyone heard of the latest development on PTCL regarding the remaining plots of land? Rumour good news on the way regarding the remaining plot. Ah poh is sitting on a plot of gold mine!

CD of 1.5c equivalent to 5.5% of the share price, better than bank interest. Xd on 13 Sept.

This was a fantastic piece of business for PTCL. Assuming if the remaining plots were sold at the same price next year, Ah Poh would sit pretty on a 50% gain from an initial capital outlay of just $9.09M. Possible to have special dividend more than the 1.25 cts that we are getting this round. Alternatively, the management could also reduce debt and makes its books look better by increasing its NTA.

Hmm ... or perhaps even a bonus or rights issue to increase float and retail investor interest? Whatever the case .... hang on to these kantangs. Buy queues becoming larger throughout the morning. I'm hoping that actual trade volume increases. RSI and MFI starting to show gradual inflow of money. Ah Poh should be resuming her gradual climb upwards soon.

Sunny_123: Weak holders here means any retail investors who either don't want to or have no means to hold onto PohTC shares.

NTA according to the latest report is 19.8 cts. Current price at 23.5 cts means that you'd be paying a "premium" over the NTA value. But if you think paying the 3.5 cts premium is a good price to secure project ted NTA of 40 cts. Then it is a good price. Smiley

As always, the cup is either half empty of half full. Looking at the queues, i think there's is a concerted effort to flush out weak holders. So if you already own kantangs and can hold on, hold on tight tight! But if you don't have or don't have enuff yet, squeeze out the weak holders.

Just some thoughts, trade/invest safely my friend.

Good to see familiar kantang supporters here. Looking fwd to dividend too ... STI continues to bleed. This correction will come to an end at an appropriate time (and hopefully not prematurely), until then we should just go into sleep mode and sniff around for bargains.

Even Ah Poh is not spare today. But at least there's some consolation of dividend to look forward to

For this case, still need to less 18% tax. Effectively, for 10lots you'll get S$123.

At 1.5ct per share, that'll be $15 per lot or $150 for 10 lots. But please bear in mind that you only be eligible for the dividends if you hold till ex-date.
