1st quarter results will be out on Apr 25th, it should be positive.
latest analyst report targets 60 cents but no time-frame given.
with new Skype products, this is one of the few local public listed
electronic companies with a recognised Brand.
i think anyprice below 50 cents will see upside.
Aztech does have a range of new products in the pipeline. These are innovative ADSL2 and internet related products. Good potential. With its current order book, the price is undervalue. The management is also very focused on costs issue and should get good margins for its product in the range of 18%-25%. We should see a 15-25% increase in profit margin for Q1.
Always buy on weaknesses. Range: 0.39 - 0.42 to buy.
Also can look forward to the dividend of 1 cents on the 20th April.
Aztech till now still considered a cheap valuation base on their business prospect. Their Q1 result on 26Apr07 will show the clearer picture. if we calculate base on their order on hand, share buy-back, constant R&D, and promising current products. I forsee no reason this counter cannot reach above $0.50, I guess it is the matter of time. This Q1 result will tell it all....

Triple play devices to feature strongly in 2007
strong profit growth and successful rollout of new products and devices
for IP communications & telephony. We expect it to leverage on last
year?s performance to register another breakthrough this year.
Story: 2006 should be an exceptional year for the Group, given
on the back of strong reception to its data communication products and
healthy volume orders from its key EMS customers. We are raising our
2007 estimates by 14% and introduce our 2008 earnings forecast. We
believe the Group can sustain the business momentum and achieve
further sales and profit breakthrough with new products and customers
in 2007.
Point: We expect the Group to exceed our FY06 earnings estimateRelevance:
stock. Our conviction is premised on expectations of earnings surprises
in FY06, strong take-up of its new products, which is currently
showcased in CES 2007, the expectations of the fifth consecutive
earnings growth in 2007, continual improvement in ROE and finally, the
expansion of its market capitalisation. We upgrade the stock to
STRONG BUY and see the stock possibly hitting our one-year price
target of S$0.56 later this year.
Aztech bought back shares for the first time since buybacks were introduced by the Singapore Exchange in June 1999 with 721,000 shares purchased on March 1 at 37.5 cents each. The initial buyback was made after the stock fell by 17 per cent from 45 cents on Feb 8. Despite the fall in the share price, the counter is still sharply up since January from 24 cents. Aside from the company, four directors bought shares on Feb 14 totaling 250,000 shares at 41.5 cents each.
Among the buyers were chairman Hong Yew Mun, vice-president Chia Heok Miin and executive director Mun Weng Hung. The acquisitions by those four directors were significant as those were the first insider purchases in the company since December 2004 when the share price was nine cents.
Three other directors also acquired 1.7 million shares last month via exercise of options at 9.9 cents to 11 cents each. The fact that those three directors refrained from taking quick profits at the stock's record high price of 41.5 cents sends very bullish signals for the stock.
The insider acquisitions and buybacks in the past month were made after the group announced its year-end results on Feb 8. Aztech posted a 97.8 per cent gain in net profit to $20.03 million for the 12 months to Dec 31, 2006.
