yep singaporegal, STE = st engg. I was a bit mixed on its charts since AD was up, but weakening as you said, tho that could simply be 'cos of traders wrapping up before CNY. thing is, envelope is starting to curve to a down. too many factors to see clear trend for now.



in any case. the dow is bleeding tonight, and people are getting bearish. since markets move on sentiment and not fact, i would personally hold off all buying decisions tomorrow morning. might be a good idea to wait and see morning session first.

still looking for two counters tho: allgreen and cdlh. fyi for those interested. hehe. man, am i thickskinned or what! haha.

This goes to show that so-called "Technical Analysis" is really an art form in perception.

Each interpreter will have his/her own favourite insights according to each's experience.

Ref your comments on STE, my interpretation of the charts seems to be contrary to yours. I see a downtrend bias....though I agree that it needs confirmation in the next day or so.

Just my novice opinion.

Yeah... bollinger bands are tight. I would think there's a slight bias towards upward movement. But the last couple of days indicate a weakening somewhat. Hard to tell.... must wait for the next trading day to be certain.

godpa, cdlh owns diversified properties. What caught my attention is because they own office properties as well: i.e., office rental rates, which are forecasted to give the best increase in value since luxury is more or less at its tail-end already. Until CDL opens their office reits, this stock to me is one of the better prop plays. By TA: consistent uptrend since its IPO, fibonacci gives next wave target to 2.50. It's at 1.92.



However, I'm playing it as a TA trade first since the parent CDL gives FYE results on 28th feb. Will watch run up carefully. If it does the spurt before results and then dip (as most cos seem to be doing), i'll sell before results day.

thereaft will assess results to see if it's worth as an FA holding.

hi Geojam, Bunnie... greetings from Ireland....here I celebrated CNY with loh hei... btw, do you know that this is the real Singapore CNY tradition.. I think it is not available in Aussieland (correct me if I am wrong Geojam, but as you have not mentioned it I guess I am right...my friends in Sydney and Melbourne do not do loh hei).. I know you cannot have loh hei in New York or London Chinatown... but perhaps fellow forumers might advise me otherwise..

here peking duck comes in 4 courses.

U have the skin wrap,the duck soup,the duck noodles and the sang chow pow(mince duck  wrap in lettuce leave).

All up only A$42.

I like sea cucumber too,shark fin soup,abalone,crayfish,black moss etc..

Here all these will costs u about A$88 a head during CNY.

Aiyah,u are still young,as far as i am concerned.And all of u doing well in shares.

godpa, i also want my ang bao. i can wait till aug too if i am in sg when you are here *grins* if not, u pass it to elf and i meet her. how was your dinner and peking duck? i never really understand what's the big deal abt this duck. it's nothing fantastic mah. in fact after 2 or 3 pcs of the skin-wrapped-w-duck thingy, i'm sick of the whole dish. i prefer sharksfin (who cares abt dying sharks!), stewed sea cucumber with mushrooms and lotsa lotsa fatt choy, abalone, blah blah. *yummy* wish i could have all that every CNY.

elf, blame it on greed la. *sigh* i usually make quite a bit from ipos that are listed on 1st day, especially with the recent ipos cheonging. even the recent unionmet, if i had been patient and not sold off on the 3rd day, i would have made more. and for indofood, i DID make b4 it freefall from $1.67 on wed afternoon. coz of greed lah, entered this counter; then coz of greed again lah, went up 5cts for me still didn't let go. damn. so now, am caught in a situation. dunno if i want to let go this week when mkt opens to cut loss or to wait till next Mon when my contra date is up then see the "final" price. the thing is, if BB playing this counter, then next Mon will be the forcesold day 2 and Tues may see px goes up. so if i dispose by Mon and lose $$ then Tues it goes up, i will die of heartpain. oh shit, shouldn't have said this, if BB see it, then they decide to manipulate indofood till next week, i sure lugi big time :p
