Osim International Ltd. Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and First Half of 2009 ; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Second Half of 2009
Osim International Ltd. reported earnings results for the second quarter and first half of 2009. For the quarter, the company reported net profit of $5 million-a reversal from the net loss of $6 million for the year-ago period. Compared with the first-quarter net profit of $3.2 million, the second-quarter earnings were 56% higher. Revenue was $117 million, up just 1% from second quarter of 2008's $116 million but 22% from first quarter 2009's $96 million. Earnings per share stood at 0.83 cents for the quarter compared with loss per share of 1.11 cents for the same quarter year ago. For the first half, the company reported earnings per share of 1.35 cents compared with loss of 3.55 cents for the same period year ago. The company expected profits for the second half of the financial year to be higher than the previous year's.
just bought abit of this, wont earn much. Losses are faster than gain. Quite disappointed with sg market as market are too pessimistic during correction even when US are increasing that time.
