usually when a counter dived due to anticipation of any specific news it will retrace if that news release is somewhat within expectation n fully factored in. so looking at genting this may happen if the financial report isnt too bad.
btw shorties wont care whether it gap up or not lol.
i dont think this counter give good dividend reason very simple, when price of stock kena beaten so badly a good dividend will only push stock up for the timebeing till Exdate n it will dive again i.e. 饮 鸩 止 渴 . coy wont do stupid thing like this.

Many views here and it's normal.
Let it drops first and I will buy (long).
DOW Jones surged 211 pts, but LVS retreated 1.10. It hit a low of 34.70.
If forced selling kicks in, it will drop like shits.

Good dividend normally follows by Good results..
Good results does not mean they will give good dividend too.. there are plenty good stocks with good earnings but no divident..
As far as i have read through many analysts reports, they are issuing buy call for genting, are u sure their expectation is low?
1) no comment
2) no comment
3) they have large debt to banks too
4) many other beaten down stocks (commodity stocks) are still earning quite big profits.. where are they now? genting is still a relatively better stock but it does not mean it will fly soon
5) shortists have been shorting for 2 years? like i said, dont blame shortists in a prolong downtrend.. if no buyers willing to sell, shorters cant do sh*t..
6) when genting was 2.2, noble was 2.2 too.. noble drops to as low as 1.04 recently.. if it's an one to one comparison, genting will drop to 1.04 also?
But if u look at the overall picture, it is no harm to buy for long term (use SPARE cash)... BUIT u cant treat this stock as a cash cow that gives good dividend, genting group never believe in giving good dividend..

Think whatever results Genting has. Will still beat analysts expectations.
- Casino Fine has already been taken into account fully. But may not be passed
- Echo Bid may not fully materialized but has been taken into account fully
- Large Cash Hoard for Share buyback
- Results las vegas not so bad still earning quite big profits , genting is more of a cash cow every year make money . Just generating constant gold .No more major construction etc .
- 2 Year Low. Shortists have been shorting for 2 years .How many are there?
- Just like Noble drop from 1.60 to 1.08 genting has dropped from 2.20 to 1.22 , and noble bounced to 1.45 quickly after that due to short covering.Genting is very likely follow same pattern

many ppl average down me too I got hundred of lots initially now left tens of lots after averaging down with profit.
now many feel painful but trust me if tomorrow green those that bought today will think yeah going to up liao chiong liao let wait then suddenly it dives then they #@$%%& & #@@ why i dont sell ????/ then their weekend spoilt liao sigh that life.
