just curious. when all the indices are in the red, how come SSE Composite Index (Shanghai) is green ? does this have any significance ? i know there is a 'war' going on with 'heavy pounding of the artillery' , apologises for this silly question from a small fry.

also, as lucky168 said "a housewife making $100,000... I felt very demoralised...why am I working so hard???". There are two possible reasons why you need to work so hard: 1) you are not as smart as her 2) you are not as lucky as her. Take your pick.

lucky168 and firebear, there are many housewives who are educated/graduates/post-graduates but quit their jobs and stayed  home for various reasons (mind you a lot of them are professionals before quitting). Think you need to get rid of the notions that housewife are those huang nian po who know nothing,  sit at home and do housework. If not, one with rich husbands and therefore no need to work. Housewife, simply stated, is ANY WOMAN, who is married and not employed (regardless of background).

I know of a 'housewife' who quit her high flying bank job to do so called 'playing shares' (not hearsay, I know that person). You can call her housewife or a full time investor. Don't mean to be rude but just think that there's such stereotyped perception whenever one mentions the word 'housewife'.

The STI index in SJ has 0 for Open,  High  and Low as data on 28 Feb 2007. Thus the STI chart display from 0 to 3000+ causing the chart to be very flat for the whole year. Can the SJ Admin remove the 0 data and change it to some sensible data. Thanks.

Looks like many SJ forumers have mood swing the past week:) Then it is understandable as the market when on a wild swing. Whatever it is keep calm and be positive as the world has not ended yet.
