terencefok, I think STI up or down 2molo or next week isn't really an important issue, especially in a irrational market mode now. And those big players that I personally knew off are "trying every ways and means" just to made $$ out of small players like me, be it market up or down. $1 million made by 1 big boy might = 400 small players losses. Imagine how many big players out there? Remember the Amaranth Fund? How the ang moh banks "played" down the oil sector which made the Amaranth Fund into a big hooha? Unless you are a day trader, if not STI green or red isn't really important, just my thoughts.

Hi Terrencefok... :)

To get the answer to that question any of the following methods may help...

a)Get a good sized natural quartz crystal ball
b)Do a Tarot Card Spread
c)Assemble a Seance
d)Do Lucid Dreaming
e)Ask Other People.

If e) doesn't work, do a) to d) again...

Extra, Extra,

DOW may not be too promising tonight:
"LONDON (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures turned lower Monday, as earlier gains on the back of merger activity, such as Schering-Plough's $14.4 billion purchase of an overseas rival, gave way to increased concerns over the subprime mortgage market after New Century Financial said access to credit was drying up."
New Century may file for bankruptcy and if so, will be quite a disaster because many of those big bankers (JP Morgan, Citigroup, etc) are its lenders.

Jackjames, even if rally is not here yet, it has more or less already hit the bottom. And there is only one way to go.........UP! Buy only stocks with good fundamentals and dividend yield with spare cash that you have and ...........wait to collect your windfall from those who panic-sold last 2 weeks and now scared to go back.

Summer a few months away .... Still have time to chiong before the BBs goes on long holiday!

The mounting US subprime mortage debt is a real CAUSE for concern now as the Americans consume more than they can afford. But, world exporters needs their huge consumptions for biz!

And FOMC next week on 21st March - Rate cut???

Possibly our neighbor is irritated at Singapore becoming a gambling center as many Indonesians will come here to loss their money. Already they are having severe headaches with large amount of money parked here by some tycoons.

But the good thing is that in Indonesian culture most problems can be solved amicably through the right connection.

"Semua bisa artur Pak", but this must be done quickly before becoming law.

Peace.

We are helping their foe, the achenese. The Bigshots are mostly from Java. They would not appreciate as they prefer to see Ache goes into ruin, survival of the fittest, law of the jungle.

Indonesia mulls possible granite export ban.

Those holding construction stocks, take note:

I think they are deliberately out to cripple our growth.  They had forgotten how we had helped them during their tsunamis (building temp. control tower and runway in Aceh) and earthquakes.  Sad to say, this is what we get in return for helping them.
