BurntBadbad; Could I ask how much did you pay for the TA book by Martin Pring. I know it is printed on the book that it's US$55. Did you buy it from Borders or somewhere else?  thks.

Singaporegal...

Wow...

You must have felt the fear they felt like in "The Poisedon Adventure"...

Anyway, if one you had bought an iGallop and trained on it, you may not have felt giddy so easily... hehe... :)

aiyoh sir, wrong lah Eastonbay..  I was in Shanghai and just got back from the business trip.. very sian.. and went to koon.. but i admit, the first thing i got home is to check the Fellowship - it is like must pop into the Pub for a quick fix..

Shanghai is very invigourating.. they have surpassed us, Hongkong, and I think will overtake even New York.. I happen to visit the Yangshan Deepwater container port (build from a pile of island rock in the middle of Yangzhou Bay..  got there via the just recently completed Donghai Bridge. It is very impressive - 33.6 km across the eastern sea (it reminded me very much of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Virginia, USA which incidently is 28.2 km) full three lane each way, and built for heavy trailer/container traffic... the port just commence operation and will one day be the largest port in the world.

It was significant for me because I was a witness to Shanghai arriving on the world stage in the stock market arena..  Febuary 27, 2007 will always be remembered by the Shanghainese as the date that the world perked up to pay full attention to Shanghai....

hey, the puppycon (henceforth abbreviation for puppy eyed emoticon) is back. *patpat*. keke. why are you insomniac, chinkiasu?

tech rebound as expected. what i didn't expect was that the sti would stay up in afternoon trade. ah well let's see.

STE still very strong. charts consistently show institutional buys, even for yesterday.

has tanglinboy been in this thread before or is this your first time? are you from police HQ or do you just live in the area?

ok, just got home and i'm grumpy now. gonna go off to sulk. tata.

I was in a building when it shook.... everyone got so scared that we immediately evacuated.

I was dizzy for a while and couldn't eat lunch afterwards.

Like I said, I have dumped everything about 2-3 weeks back, once I noticed the market was rather sickly as I screened through all the local counters' charts and saw that the majority of them  have  'weakening' charts while the STI was still making strong gains..

Ipunter,

No prob. So, what about your portfolio? Shopping spree huh over these few days of valuation correction?  Are you affected by the earthquake earlier?

Just managed to get rid of my Genting at .86 with some kopi$ to buy my friends lunch later.  Most of my reits, I left them as they are.  Divvy stocks like Lee Kim Tah and Ascott also leave them alone, no eyes to see, no need to see.  Other than that, just look see, or drink coffee.

Bye, off for lunch now!

Hi geojam,

I read that you're in Perth..... or was it Sydney?

40 degrees is really hot! The last time I experience 40 degree weather was during Army training in Thailand.

But is it humid there? Its the humidity that's a killer... not really the heat.
