Yes madam Fairygal, I do NS like every young singapore kid.... actually, use of sir or madam is a very common thing in the eastern part of the US... or in the business world too. or in the service industry. it does make the person addressed to feel important.. and what does it cost us to say sir or madam?  the term sinseh, too is the equivalent..we use it alot .. nowadays we call each other Mr or Mrs...

chinkiasu, just a little sharing here.  This time round, like in May, I held onto my counters.  Yes, paper losses, but not actual losses.  After paying the market $120k tuition fees in March 2006, I learnt to tame one emotion:  GREED!  I've put that episode behind me, painful though it may be.  And in the truism of those words, 'let's move on' our journey to the mountain of profit.

no worries sir, it is ok, the fault is mine.. "the caveman.. millan net" which I now know is the default cookie which is incorporated in the pic:  I did not realise this earlier as it is from a new website download.  Luckily, I had the good sense not to introduce others to the site otherwise I can be accused of spamming etc...

 I need to now address the question of you calling me Uncle Kiasu... does this mean you draw a line of behaviour and hold your hands in abeted breadth when you relate with me? Should I  perhaps address you as Auntie Bunbun    for evey Uncle Kiasu you mentioned? Or shall we relate like this?

I dont think of ages when I relate with people.... I relate to their minds and treat them as such.. e.g I relate with you and elifinchilde equally, I dont think of your age first then I relate... I mean I also dont switch mode to relate...although in the physical world we have to because of social norms but even then globalisation is such that this is even becoming less important..  I think you who have stayed in US, would know that the kids there address their parents by their name and do not call them papa or mama...

pesonally I see myself as an evergreen song.. and would want to be one... like yoda...
