yea...

A floor of 0.92 is quite likely...

If it sinks through this floor, it will most likely fall some more...

since there are hordes of techies around all the time... Smiley

Ask my broker, she say today only 400 lots traded at 93 cts.Looks like this will be the support line.No need to think of lower price unless something drastic happen.

I personally think its best to be patience and play the range between 0.90 and 1.00.  I did once and that was it.  0.90 never seems to come by anymore. Even thought the momentum triggered a buy signal at 0.92 or 0.93 these days, I never thought of buying. Wonder why... :p

this one move up or not, i don't know, but i think it will support at $0.90 level as they need to maintain the price before the right issue is settled

on why do I hold on to Genting (miserable few lots):

Visited Macau for the first time in December and will always remember what the guide said, "Las Vegaas Sands recouped all their investment within 1 year although the original target was 5 years. It is in Chinese blood to gamble!!!". Macau has a jungle of casinos yet Sands recouped their investment in one year. There are only 2 in Singapore. Having said that, I'm taking a very long term view of Genting. I will wait until at least two years after it opens. I can afford to do this because I didn't buy it at 90+ cents level.

Any possibility of a merger between Genting & Resort World which is listed in Malaysia?

If it does, the right's price should be $1.00. & above.

I am not vested yet, but will do if  there is a possibility of merging or the share price trend lower to 90 cts.

Anyway, I hv already made >200% selling at $1 &  taking out half of it  to re-invest is not a bad ideal.

buy & sell at your own risk.

Hi all

My two cents thoughts. As a vested investor for Genting, i felt that the company did right by issuing  more shares to raise funds. If not, Genting may borrow from banks, and the debts will be too large and the need to pay interests and redeem the loans will become a burden in future. In all aspects, this seems like a correct strategy.

And also, i felt the company is fair through their intention to issue rights. Issuing rights meant that they are giving preferences to existing shareholders. Genting can choose to go for private placement of shares but they did not.

Rgds

thanks, jm2212. I am fully aware that the price will fall and i'm not too worried coz i hv the holding power (small number of lots only) till the IR launches in 2009/10. I understand the rights is 5:3 and perhaps i should consider to buy the rights (3/5) if the price is low... very low. Any idea what's the range of the price for the rights?

jng1103, you don't have to subscribe the rights if you do not wish to, alternatively you can sell your rights entitlement once it starts trading, but take note that the "mother" share price will drop accordingly once right is issued.
