I've emailed some questions to SPC about the aviation refuelling & bunkering business and the impact of falling oil prices on their revenues. When, they reply me, I will be sure to share the info with u guys.

did a quick analysis of today's trade.
Buying - 476 lots....80 trades...ave trade size - 5.95 lots
Selling - 1074 lots...34 trades....ave trade size - 31.59lots
Married - 608 lots...3 trades.....ave trade size - 202.67lots
Looks like alot of retail buying but institutions selling.
Any members got comments/inputs/opinions on these figures?
Real nightmare of SPC just started at 4.18 to 4.20 pm, just 2 minutes, sell down total 675 lots at 4.12... That is a nightmare. 7 transaction sell down at 50 lots each , and 1 transaction sell down at 325 lots at 4.12 as well.
... S$4.10 ... wow ...shortist at work :-0? ... too bad me not a shortist or contra -ian...

I have the same feel as nickyng. All these volume chart doesnt mean a thing if the counter is going south. the price may build up before result announcement. For those who dare take a plunge, go for it. I will watch from the side line. Wish you luck.
aya...just short all the way lowest it can get b4 24th Jan....then 25th Jan short it further...then when u r happy start accumulating loh..ayo...end all the speculation once and for all...

4.10 was a shorter term support maybe for a quickie trade, but any rebound is quite likely to be relished by the bears, who will be licking and smacking their lips after afterwards, while thay wait for more of the same.
Since this has been such a lengthy downtrend, it's best to observe the forming of the reversal base before further action, like I said before.
But TA in itself is not the ultimate answer to stock market problems. Each person will interprete the same patterns quite (very) differently... :)

I am still vested with some remaining shares.....will wait for FY06 on 24 Jan then decide on the next move. If price plunges further...4.10 or below, I may consider picking up some for a punt.
Having said that, please note that the cost of my current holdings is about $1.00....so, what i am doing may not neccessarily be suitable to others.
However, I feel that prices my have bottomed out in the short term.....just gut feel.
Hi Ipunter, you are quite good technically on TA with the down flag including that the downtrend may not be ended yet.
Knowing the unknown is dangerous. I will not take such risk with all these "hear say" speculation. Oil price is falling; Oil play is no longer in play. The above is base on my own opinion.
i think someone must have known something that others dun know yet to make such a big purchase of shares.

u mentioned a rebound in oil prices, what is the timeframe we are looking at for this to happen? do u think SPC will move in tandem with oil prices when it starts to rise again?

my reading of the support also says $4.10 leh
