This counter's chart picture dows not look too good...
No beautiful continuation pattern at all... it appears precarious... lol...

This counter is in a big mess. The President in charge of looking after all the  premium high stake players got caught by CRA for giving kick-back of annual casino entrance  levy of $2000 per person.
She who is responsible for promoting their stake gambling has to quit her post by the end of this month. Their revenue from high stake gambling will suffer with her resignation.
Someone whose acts controlled by his/her emotions usually is the one to get killed in the market first.
Very easy to see in this forum these types of people. They usually brag about their winning and like to write with big fonts.
My recommendation is for you to stop playing the market before you lost every single cents :-)
U r very right!
And thats why blur shortist die pain pain weeks ago till now :)

Often, it is not a matter of one putting tight stop losses... It is a matter of trading at the right time.
If one trades frequently and at the wrong times, one can expect to be stopped out very often,
and thus be wiped out by the frequent stop-losses alone...

I plan a tighter stop loss, so the risk reward will be slightly better. Please do your own home work too before deciding, caveat emptor. :-)

i'm also thinking of a $1.28 entry, with a cut loss at $1.24. There is a resistance at the $1.38-$1.39 level , profit taking around there. risk reward about 4:10. Do you think its a good idea?

Opportunity to enter at a low risk as it gets closer to 1.285
Sgshares - you're welcome
Thanks for sharing

Looking at the chart pattern developing and general market direction, there is a high probability that Genting will have a rebound first before another short opportunity will present.
For the purpose of learning and sharing, below are my reasons:
- The fact that the market ignored the bad news e.g. (sell off in Europe), but react to good news (job report), is a sign of bullishness. When market is bullish, most stocks regardless strong or weak ones, all go up.
- Genting is holding up at 1.28-1.285 rather well, so it looks like there is an intention to push it up a bit more and to catch late shortist. Also for shortist, there is not much meat to short at the moment after the price dropped from 1.75 to 1.2
My strategy will be:
- Play the rebound at the current price level. Try to enter around 1.285 for the lowest risk entry
- Assess the chart pattern when it approached 1.4-1.45 ... This is probably when another short opportunity will present.
yes i agree...still downtrend.. probably short it somewhere around 1.35-1.4. SL 1.42 and TP 1.12-1.17.
This is still in a downtrend. Results next week will prove. Good luck.

You could try again if if it pulls back to $1.28 on small volume... but cut loss should not be less than $1.245...support at that level recently is weak-- last time support around that level was exactly 2 years ago, during the period 27Jul - 12Aug 2010.
