I only realised that CMZ was bashed so badly after it was suspended or I may have 'invested' some. More than 100% return in profit ! The Chinese definitely must eat vegetables so how can it be worthless ! Although I still don't believe all those short sales volume for Hankore but even they were genuine, the short sellers must be having sleepless nights now ! CMZ's shares were trading above $1 since July, so Glaucus definitely made  a loss or broke even at best, though the latter scenario is most unlikely seeing the volumes of CMZ traded for the past couple of months. And of course, we have the CFD option, which would have  leveraged up  their losses, all the way to the moon.. Hehehe.. Either way, no way for Glaucus to win if it indeed shorted CMZ. And now that Sino Grandness has also more or less stabilised due to his intervention, ah Wang can devote his attention to HK during the next few days. Old Bio-Treat shareholders can't possibly put forward such a massive queue at 5.6cents. Speaking in macro-terms, the debt ceiling, tapering, and Syria issue won't really have a drawn out effect on Singapore stock markets. SGD has been faring a lot better than other Asian currencies, in part because of our positive BOP and budget surpluses. MAS has more than sufficient reserves to maintain that trading band, so we needn't worry about this. SGD and SGD denominated govt bonds are also considered safe haven AAA assets, so it won't be as adversely affected as Indonesia, India, Malaysia, et cetera. Short term wise, yea.. fluctuations, but it won't last. As yields on T-bonds increases, investors will flock to US and depress the yields. Old habits die hard and they will start looking overseas and see SG as a country with almost similar safe haven status as US. Stocks like HK, Aussino, CCM, Mirach, CNA are all BB plays (ignore the fundamentals in ST). If can time well, very easy to profit one. Just ensure the presence of tight stop losses and remember the aphorism that " one bird in the hand is better than two in the bush" .

 

Alan has deep pockets. HK will move forward but still need to shake away the Biotricks holders and those short term traders. Surprise the NAV of HK recovered to 7.3c and PE now 13X. 1Q results will set the forward PE. So still have plenty of meat even to hit its NAV. Look forward to 2D first! But those who trade be careful, Syria and US debt ceiling, budget issues & QE tapering still pending. I no good, my timing always out. So content to sit, sip coffee and wait...
