haha... the psychic sotong has picked spain over germany.
looks like my wish, for a final between spain and uruguay, is inching closer.
(in singapore, when one mention another a sotong, it a blurr sotong. but that psychic sotong so chun so far. wouldn't it be fantastic to have that sotong help us pick winning stocks instead. time to get a sotong pet. haha)
Let's hope Germany weren't peaking already. Then we will have more exciting match coming on ...
I like the current Spain's style of playing ... short-passing. And they have the best mid-field in the world.
So to me Germany vs Spain is my final for this WC.

Argentina has no defence ... fallible.
They weren't tested before last nite. See how they fell apart against a much stronger team ...

This German team is simply dazzling! They are so fast ... looked at their quick counter attack; Good finishing ... they scored goals, many.
The old boring Germany? Out of the window already ...
Champions in the making ... even octopus oracle is on their side ...hehehe ...

So england is not so bad 4-1. If count in Lampard's goal should be 4-2.
Thrashed 4 nil by Germany! Unbelievable!!
Brazil out! Argentina out! Sigh ...
This German side is really good.
brazil is a let down.. they can only blame themselve for this result and they deserve it.
Holland not impressive but they holding the game quite well, even after they let in a goal, they still play on well.. brazil, after they got an own goal, i can see they are sian 1/2 and anyhow play.. deserve to go home... waste my early bet on them to win wc..
luckily, i still got a big bet on germans to win.. but seem.. harder and harder.. after arg.. if tru, possible spain.. holland vs spain in final seem to be a special match up.. and this had been flashing on my mind.. I dun like spain and holland's way of playing.. if they are in final, we will be in for a boring game.. so let arg or ger goes to final with holland or urugary..

brazil crashed out; netherland thru to semi... uruguay thru too, this time by another "hand of god" stopping ghana.
uruguay against netherlands, who to bet on? forlan vs robben. forlan good at fast low, curl swing ball... robben, one very experienced actor.
tonite, germany vs argentina. going to be veryvery exciting. waiting to see plenty of fracas on the pitch tonite. on the sideline, maradona antics aplenty. hehe
seem the general consensus for semi-finalists are : Brazil, Uruguay, Germany, and Spain. Two each from europe and south america.
although i support brazil, my favourite team, i think they already won too many world cup already. 5 times to be exact. Germany won 3 times. Spain, none yet while Uruguay got one more than 40 years ago. So lets bless spain and uruguay to meet in the final. Anyway, hope all play well and may the cup go the best one.
BERLIN (AP) -- Octopus oracle Paul on Tuesday hesitated but ultimately picked Germany to win -- again -- this time over Argentina in their quarterfinal matchup at the football World Cup.
Paul, who rose to global fame after correctly predicting all four of Germany's games in this year's tournament, indicated that Saturday's game will be a tough battle and that it may even end in a penalty shootout.
While English-born Paul made a snappy decision to pick Germany over his native country, this time it took the octopus about an hour to approach a water glass containing a mussel marked with a German flag, said Tanja Munzig, a spokeswoman for Sea Life Aquarium in the western city of Oberhausen.
Paul ignored a similar glass with Argentina's flag, but he also did not reach inside the German glass with his tentacles to grab the seafood goodie.
"Paul kept staring at the German glass and only when we wanted to take out both glasses, he finally jumped inside the German one and gulped down the mussel" Munzig said. "All of his behavior indicates that Saturday's game will be very tough and it may even go into extra time and penalty shootout -- but in the end Germany will win."
Two-year-old Paul has proven to be a reliable oracle in the past -- in addition to predicting Germany's win over England, he also foretold the victories over Australia and Ghana and the country's loss to Serbia. During the 2008 European Championship, he predicted 80 percent of all German games right, Munzig said.
Despite being a naturalized German, Munzig said, Paul is not a biased octopus and "he may even have some relatives in Argentina, who emigrated there many generations ago."
