Remember to reserve some bullets in the pocket as we never know which price it will go to before bouncing.

STI has had a good run-up so far.. I got a   feeling that correction is coming soon... and YZJ price may be affected.

I get my share at 0.975, will follow you to queue at 0.95 which is the breakout point for long term downtrend. But chances of getting it maybe as low as 20%~25%.

As currently the reversal trend show the slight higher low for RSI and clear higher low for stochastic, and CCI is narrowing.

Xinfu will be a good steps for Yangzijiang to further step into the offshore industries, Yang should be a strong competitor to keppel or sembcorb if it really step in and stand strong.

Just read SGX recent announcement.

The rest are rumour or old news

I am loading at 0.98 and 0.985 level.

Anyway shortist is welcome to short down further.

This news previously I already mention, I am neutral as they have already received 40% of the price of the sales, which is arround current ship sales price for 2500TEU.

But I find strange with this news is that I can't find the contract award news, (internet or SGX announcement)  did anyone come across?

The other thing strange about this news is the contract price of 50million, which is around 2006 rate, in 2007 the rate already reduce to around 45million per vessel, and 2500TEU can be easily build in 1.5~2years. The news mention that the first ship was build, and the other two will be ready in May 2013. That push back to 2011 should be the contract date. But if 2007 is the contract award date, it takes  6yrs to deliver the ship is also very strange.

If this news is true, order cancellation will need to annouce, but  then SGX annoucement also did not see it, unless this cancellation is not finalise, 6yrs and still not finalise?

The other issue is this news did not appear in one of the China website that I usually visit to view the ship builder news

  According to newswires such as Tradewinds and SinoShip, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (YZJ) has put up three abandoned 2500 TEU containerships for resale.

One of the vessels has already completed and the other two were scheduled to be completed by May this year.

We think the three vessels were originally ordered in 2007 values of such vessels were around US$50m then, but have fallen to about US$24m currently. 

Two of the five installments for each vessel have been paid up, accounting for 40% of the total contract value. With the 40% deposit, and assuming YZJ is able to sell the vessels at current prices, the difference per vessel is not substantial (~US$6m).

Though the above-mentioned three vessels account for a very small portion of YZJ’s order book (US$3.58b, comprising 75 vessels as at 30 Sep 2012), we are more concerned of the possibility of further cancellations. 

Recall that YZJ saw its first order cancellation in Jun 2012 (two 34,000DWT bulk carriers originally ordered by FreeSeas, but YZJ did not suffer a loss from this due to the deposit), and ceased contracts for another six 82,000DWT bulk carriers around the same period as well (three were resold, and potential buyers were being sourced for the rest).

PE ratio is still very depressed for this counter (compare historically, or presently if benchmark  against Cosco)  . Dividend has been consistent and management seems to be very proactive in managing profit and future business stream.

In long term, probably have chance to increase multi-folds.

    2012年 , 新 扬 子 实 现 完 工 交 船 26艘 159.4万 载 重 吨 , 完 成 2012年 的 生 产 计 划 , 其 中 包 括 按 期 交 付 中 远 集 运 10艘 4250TEU集 装 箱 船 ; 新 开 工 30艘 , 完 成 原 计 划 的 88.2%; 下 水 28艘 , 完 成 计 划 的 93.3%。
    老 扬 子 面 临 搬 迁 , 在 面 对 人 员 不 稳 和 设 备 减 少 的 情 况 下 , 依 然 完 工 交 付 6型 共 16艘 船 34.9万 载 重 吨 ( 原 计 划 交 船 18艘 , 后 两 艘 调 整 到 春 节 前 交 付 ) , 交 船 产 值 39.5亿 元 , 开 工 5艘 , 上 船 台 12艘 , 下 水 船 舶 14艘 , 基 本 完 成 2012年 的 生 产 计 划 。

My guess is $1.5 will be a ceiling till AGM but it will become a floor price after that. I think this magic show  may take 3 to 6 months time.
