hi hmm3101,

i hv observed this counter fell from a high of 0.15 to a low of 0.105 in the year 2006. after the announcement of 3G participation this year - this counter has experienced a few surges from 0.105 to 0.12, then from 0.12 to the current level 0.14.

maybe something is brewing Smiley

Just wonder why this counter trading price(0.14) is only 30% of its Net Asset Per Share(0.56) values? Is there any abnormal news? I think it is more worthwhile to sell all the asset and take the money and put inside the bank? Any comments?

3G qualification doesn't mean it has the licence.

Under a joint collaboration with the telecom operators, Ace Achieve will be taking part in the first phase of the TD-SCDMA network setup, which includes the infrastructural networking of the ten PRC cities involved in the Beijing Olympic Games 2008. This brings along huge growth potential.

It said its total outstanding order book reached RMB162.1m yuan, after winning RMB75.6m of new orders in the months of June, July and August. The bulk of these new orders are expected to be delivered in the current financial year, the company said in a statement.

While the majority of the new orders are for Ace Achieve's business and operations support solutions, there has been a growing demand for the group's telecom applications solutions, Ace Achieve said.

"At present, our orders are mainly project-based and any recurring income is derived from the maintenance and upgrading of our software platforms and solutions," Ace Achieve executive chairman Deng Zelin said.

"Moving forward, we hope to derive more of our new orders from the revenue-sharing model," he added.

Ace Achieve will be offering SMS enhancement solutions to China Unicom. The project, which is expected to yield revenue of over RMB50m a year, marks a shift in focus to a 'recurring revenue sharing' business model. The company hopes to derive 50% of its income from revenue sharing and recurrent-income streams. It will collaborate with Beijing-based Chengdu Jinchen Tech to establish a new associate firm that will set up China's first SMS enhancement platform.

The telecom software firm reported a 27% fall in earnings to $8.4 m. The poor showing came amid jumps in staff, R&D and distribution costs, doubtful debts and impairment of inventory.

This is in-line with CIMB-GK's expectation of a 30% drop.

The cheap PE is now cheaper.

CIMB-GK's target price is $0.16, pegged at 4x CY06 PE, given its high collection risk. Debtor turnover days jumped from 205 days in FY05 to 353 days in 1H06. The higher receivable days could affect its short-term cashflows and capex for expansion, possibly leading to provisions. Assuming it makes 5% provision for its debtor turnover, its FY06 earnings could be dented by 30%.

It will review its neutral rating after the release of the results.

I heard the financial report coming out in Jun is good.  Current P/E is only 3.5; looks cheap.  Thinking of buying some more... is it good to back the truck on this counter ?

From TA analysis, the RSI and Accumulation/Distribution are downtrending. Have been on this trend for about 1 month already. I think the price will fall further.

Hope this helps !!

Not a bad stock for a company whose customers includes China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telcom and China Netcom. If China grants the telco the 3G licenses. Stocks like this will sure rise many folds. Still trading at a low PE with an upside potential for growth. Recommend a buy on this stock. Oei Hong Leong vested in this as well.
