Ltd. for its $130m bio-diesel facility at Jurong Island. The plant is said to be the world?s largest for producing bio-diesel. When the first phase is completed in end-'07, it will have an annual production capacity of 600,000 metric tons (700 million litres) of bio-diesel a year. It will also manufacture 60,000 tons a year of high-grade glycerine, a by-product used in food, cosmetics and soaps.
Bio-diesel is a growing energy source and is a cleaner fuel than traditional petroleum-based products.
