smltimer, Let me tell about my experience with rights issue. I had 10,000 Rotary shares. For the rights (at 20 cents per right) I was given 4000 rights (4000 x 20 cents =800). There is a section where you can opt to buy more, like odd lots to round up. I did that and I got 1000 more at 20 cents. Now Rotary  on Friday's is 89cents. It's pure profit.

Sure you can buy odd lots. I once had 17 RSH so I keyed in to buy 983 to make it 1000. I got 983 shares leaving the seller with 2shares( the seller offered 985 shares). You can imagine how frustrated that seller was. 

 

Sort of.....does that mean i can buy odd lots to round up my odd lots? i trade with poems, and i see the CSC & CSC R.......someone told me that after the dateline, those whole lots (1000 shares) will trade at the mother sgare price, is that true??? Thanks again choohian

 

smltimer, Once you exercise your right and you have paid for the number of  shares you will be given those shares which are yours to keep or sell. Odd lots have to sold through your broker or if you have an account with POEMS they have a section for selling the odd lots. You will find that the buyers will ask to buy the shares at ridiculously low price. If you try to sell, say  500 shares someone may buy , say 49 shares you will have 451 shares, to sell at another attempt. Then you will have to pay the minimum brokerage twice, unless the transactions are done on the same day. However, POEMS have a selection to sell all or none. In this case, you will not end up with a new odd lot. At the same you may not get anyone to buy.

smltimer, Do you trade through a broking firm? I'm sure you do. Call up the your broker and find out the facts from him. He/she should be able to answer your concern.

 

just got letter from cdp....dont understand, needs help....

questions:

1 - if i exercise the right, what happens after the dateline?

2 - how about the odd lots? what are my options?

No more rights. Price inclusive of rights should be about 0.222 at current price... 

 

I try this morning at the atm too.. see nothing except for federal..
Or we need to wait for the letter posted to our home??

How to exercise the rights? Seems that nobody can answer?

IR result should be out by now.

Passed by the IR site last Friday, I saw the whole place was in full operation, the whole place was fully occuppied by cranes, machines and workers, all busy at work. I saw all the signboards bear the company name Bachy, this is a French company, maybe it has been awarded to Bachy already.

 

anyone got idea when the ir tender result for THE SANDS construction be out??
