Alright Jack or James! Thanks !
both long term outlook is good.. but looking for very short term, i think avoid genting, and choose golden.. but again, i do not think short term golden can back to 80 cents level.. but SIA engineering can ! so u might want to try your luck there..
but, i vested golden agriculture basically, i remember vividly that all the big fund managers are buying this counter while it was above 1.00, i believe the fundamendal never change, just that people tend to take profits (because this is rocket high last year.. in fact price now only back to Jan 2007)...
i just don't want to miss out the bullrun, if u ask me why i buy today? well, 2 reasons, the price today break 0.70 cent.. it can be really wrong bet, and keep going down fast, but i bet the other way round.... the second reason is, if you notice the volume done last few days, there are definitely 1 price, having > 10,000++ lots done at certain price, say 0.715 or whatever, which highly "made me uncomfortable", today volume is quite even out before i bought at 0.685 before lunch.. now, of course the volume start to build up at 0.685, 0.69 and 0.695... anyway, i think the price enter is reasonable, perhaps the good result should give them a push...
hey jack and james, should i buy golden or genting now ??? very lost. looking for very short term, possibly intra week..
helloo gentleman, I am back !!!!! bought @ 0.685 ....
but to be honest, the price might be surpressed down again (where is the lowest? i don't know)
but then, thinking of last few months I bought at 0.945 and let go at 1.01.. price now of 0.685 is just too cheap to be true.. need not to say the report surely is VERY GOOD.. so, hopefully, I can sell on news by then... wish me luck !!
Time to load up at 0.685 and wait for result report ?????????
super bearish... but again.. when i think back... last few months, there are many single transaction 10,000 lots buy up at 1.00... are these big boys dumping the shares? or they will come back soon again?
17:05:04 0.710 1,160,000 Sell Down 1
6:59:57 0.710 100,000 Sell Down
16:59:51 0.710 273,000 Sell Down 16:59:45 0.710 200,000
That 1,160 lot is buying in one or wat lol??anyone can explained??
the result is confirmed + positive, now i am waiting for the cheaper price as cheap as possible, no limit, but then, 0.705 is the support point, if that break, nightmare come... but i think for this type of solid counter, it should not "crash" too much.... ha ha... cross my finger..
anyway, i am on the queue
hope the report card could push the price a bit, less paper loss loh.
Date of Release of Second Quarter 2008 Financial Results
The Board of Directors of Golden Agri-Resources Ltd (“GAR” or the “Company”) wishes to announce
that the Company will be releasing its unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended 30
June 2008 on Tuesday, 12 August 2008 during the lunchtime break on The Singapore Exchange
The Company operates a total planted area of 364,000 hectares, as well as 31 palm oil processing mills, three refineries and
four kernel crushing plants in Indonesia.
GAR also operates in China through an integrated deep-sea port, storage, oilseed crushing facilities and refinery facilities in
Securities Trading Limited.
Ningbo and Zhuhai.
CO may stay ard 120~125,and hope this will not hurt their earning
it could be blessing for disguise, should CO decline further, BT said today.
CO now dips slightly, see what next???
with the positive new and the buying, this should be a good buy
but lower oil price may hurt the earning
This is good news for golden agri holders; For insiders to buy just before their OB period, this is will imply good results expected. Downside risks for this counter in the short term therefore limited. In fact likely to trade up towards results day. Just my opinion. Caveat emptor.

Hmmm. Unusually low volume today. Punters/traders probably unable to decide which way to go. Waiting for funds to lead the way?
CIMB downgrades Golden Agri-Resources to Neutral from Trading Buy, target to $0.94 from $1.55; lowers FY08-FY10 earnings estimates 6-23% to reflect higher prices for fertilizers and fuel, changes in export tax, increased general operating costs. Also cuts assumed PE multiple for target price to 14X from 18X, "in view of our less optimistic outlook on plantation earnings." Says stock''s total return now in line with market, can no longer justify positive rating.
wldn't personally be too alarmed by today's drop. if you sieve through the BUSD data, it's more opportunistic shorting than genuine distribution. evidence of it is in the final buyback at closing bell: 1883 lots. that's just the retail/small time shortists. throughout the day it was being shelled; appears to be more a local BB than a foreigner though, from the patterns. perhaps some minor foreign selling only.
wait and see how. commodities had rallied earlier, so a pullback is inevitable. but if commods pullback, yet stocks don't go up, then commods are likely to rally again.
it's a question of outlook: do you think the drawback in oil (and by extension CPO plays) is going to be a longterm downtrend, or is it more likely to retrace upward? therein your answer what to do with this counter.
previous support is at 66c. MFI at 23 with today's action, so may still see a bit more selling before retracing back.
caveat applies, not vested.
