I read the article on the Sunday Times about CNG cars.
With all those troublesome issues, it makes me wonder how come some people still want CNG cars.
That's why I think in 5 years time there should be more "green cars" and the price should come down.

Problem is there are not many choices for green cars right now.
I think I have about 5 more years to go then my car will reach 10th year. By then I shall probably switch to a "green car".
I used to have a Nissan Sunny a few years ago and the fuel consumption was quite bad and the engine also not so powerful. I could only get 10km per litre. Almost equivalent to a 2 litre plus car!
I'm now driving the previous generation Honda Civic. Much better road handling and performance. There is a real difference.

ha ha, AK has no speaking right now, as my licence had been tangkong. leaving your car boot completely empty, including the spare tire and woofer, can save some fuel. If you can leave the windscreen shampoo and spare radiator containers empty, why not. best , if u always drive alone, then can keep the back seat some where loh. he he.

I do not like Altis too. A Thailand assembled car and selling like the Japanese car price. Fuel consumption is good though, but Hyhundai Avante is catching up in that aspect. I think for a price of $65K and below, the best buy, to me, is still Mitsubishi Lancer EX. It has all the luxurious fitting and road holding is superb. Only thing that is holding me back to get that car is the fuel consumption, 11-13km, due to its heavy body, in return for a safe and comfortable ride. How come nobody thinks of Nissan...they lost out in the raace liao!

I'm also planning to get a new Honda car. But I'm waiting for the new Accord Euro to come out. I heard it will be late this year and only available from the parallel importers.
I also don't really like the Altis design. Looks very "uncle"... hahaha...
Kah motor salesman ok leh.... I got no problems with them. It is usually the lady sales people who handle me.
As for the No 1 model in the first half of 2008, that accolade went to the Honda Civic with 3,283 units, including the hybrid variant but excluding the three-door Type R. In 2007, it was the Mitsubishi Lancer, after displacing the Toyota Corolla which had held the top spot for five years before that.
The runner-up from January to June this year was the Toyota Corolla Altis with 2,539 units, despite being in the market for only three full months.

I am planning to get a new car. My car (Toyota Corolla) coming to 5 yrs old, bought in Dec 2003, is this the last batch of cars that their OMV only starts to decrease after 5 yrs ?
Thinking of getting an Altis, but each new model looks uglier back lamps. But like their engine, very quiet and smooth. Also thinking of getting Vios, which is cheaper by $10K. Don't like Honda salesmen as they are very snobbish in past.

In SJunction poll, looks like the Group "Better than Buffet's" is creeping upwards while "RIP" category is decreasing. Or is it bcos the first group are more happy to vote than the last group as time passes by ?

there is exception, if while u r making a police report and felt high tide half way, you may proceed to the toilet, with a door key given.

lately, the new state goverment had replaced the car with 14 new merz E200 worth 3.34 RM, owing to maintenance fee was too high for the unreliable state made car.
the new gov didn't audit is the maintenance cost is sensible until anti CPIB spotted the news on paper. CPIB got brain, they probed into the case and conducted investigation immediately before the evidences were destroyed.

As you know, Iris has been trading successfully on the Chicago and Nymex markets for 4 years. The Iris shareholders want to start trading on the Eurexmarket as a non-clearing member (NCM) using their automated trading system.
It would seem that a Singapore Company is able to obtain an exemption from the Financial authorities provided it only has one fund and that the fund has no more than 100 investors holding $100,000 each.
This would fit the case of Iris. The advantage of Singapore is that there are tax treaties and no tax if the profits are kept offshore.
To comply with Singapore regulations, it would seem that the company needs to have at least one director of the company who is above 21 and be one of the following:
Singapore Citizen , Singapore Permanent Resident ,Employment Pass holder , Approval-in-Principal Employment Pass holder , Dependant Pass holder.
She would receive a fee for his services. This would give us a more personal feel, rather than using a corporate agent for these functions.
My Questions are :
1) What kind of trading/business is this ?
2) What are the functions of such director ?
3) What are the risks involved ?

My favorite meat restaurant is the Brazil restaurant at Sixth Avenue. Buffet BBQ style and the meat is solid!
