COSCO boosts Japan and Singapore presence

Singapore: COSCO International announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yuantong Marine Service Co. Limited (Yuantong) has expanded its supply of marine equipment and spare parts business overseas through acquiring a company in Singapore and setting up a new company in Japan, writes Transport Weekly.
 
Yuantong entered into a share transfer agreement on 31st May 2010 to acquire 100% of the issued share capital of a company namely Xing Yuan (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (Xing Yuan) to expand its supply of marine equipment and spare parts business in Singapore. The total consideration of the acquisition is S$850,000 (equivalent to approximately HK$4,814,655).

Upon completion of the acquisition, the Company shall hold 100% of the issued share capital in Xing Yuan. Together with the incorporation of a new company named Shin Chung Lin Corporation in Japan earlier, COSCO International has successfully set up new footholds in Singapore, one of the global shipping hubs, and Japan, one of the world's largest marine equipment manufacturing countries.   [09/06/10]

Buying v strong at 1.38 - could it be some goods news from Petrobas tender award - in terms of $billion.....No chance to buy today (1.30).

I reckon STI will hit lowest level around 3pm when Euro mkt starts. When Euro closed on last Fri, DOW was down about 200pt only, thereafter it fell further to -323 pt at close....

(1) $1.37, Friday (4/6)'s low,

(2) $1.33, last Tuesday (1/6) or Wednesday (2/6)'s low and

(3) $1.30, strongest support on 25/5.

If these 3 levels are broken, then better stay aside and wait for the next bottom-up signal. Smiley 288
