Istithmar's assets under management has declined about 10% to $9 billion in 2008, the FT said. It has already sold stakes in Singapore water utility company Hyflux (600.SG) and Time Warner (TWX), the report said. Istithmar has also sold its stake in Intercontinental for no profit, it added. Jackson said, according to the FT, that New York retailer Barneys isn't for sale unless it gets at least the $825 million it paid for its stake in June 2007. The report didn't say which companies Istithmar plans to sell its stakes in. The company's investments in Standard Chartered and hedge fund GLG Partners at the height of the bull run have "collapsed," the report said. Jackson said he believes the two companies are outperforming their peers currently, the FT said Price going to go up soon. Major shareholder unloaded

in general, how much would the price drop once a substantial shareholder reduced his holdings, from the date of announcement? Considering this counter is not high vol / highly speculative counter.

any indicative?

I remembered when i bought Hyflux in early 2004, my buy price was about $1.60. I sold it away later. It was used to be part of sti component before they removed it and now STI is only 30 counters. I liked Olivier Lum as she was a rags-to-riches lady and rather capable. Company is also one of market leaders in water treatment (economic moat). Her current holdings in the compamy is about 33%?.. NAV is $0.56 now.

I believe water treatment is a necessity and its not consumerism. I think buying the stock, one would not go seriously wrong.

By the time you wait for results to be released to buy, the market already factor in the good news. So you are already buying at a premium.
