Next lesson to learn un Trading.. Fear will always overcome greed in times of Panic.. Thus i bet haevily on it to fall, however looking at the bride side, tomolo will be very profitable for shortist...

i got a sinking feeling that even after the STI open in the reds tomorrow morning, more punters will rush in to push it up again. This happened the same the previous time a few weeks back.

pple here probably believe that what happens in the US doesnt really affect asia that drastically.

Wow Wee! A new record close for STI at 2,840.94 today .... missing intra-day record high set last week of 2,846.75. Volume trading at 1.3b - not bad.

Didn't expect the 6% rise in US retail sales to have such a big positive effect today. Can't wait to see how US market chiong tonite!

as u can see, STI has no character of its own, What happen to DOW, Nikkei and Nasdaq can affect its TA turnout.

Holiday Shopping Season Off to a Strong Start, With Black Friday Sales Up 6 Percent From 2005

NEW YORK (AP) -- The nation's retailers had a strong start to the holiday shopping season, according to results announced Saturday by a national research group that tracks sales at mall-based stores. One big exception was Wal-Mart Stores Inc., which said it expects to report same-store sales in November below its already lackluster forecast.

lamb,

u should consider doing a DOW TA to top it out ur STI rally. STI has been rallying due to DOW's rally than due to its own Fundemental changes.

infact DOW will affect Nikkei and Hang SHeng too...

My guess is STI had a - 0.8% correction last Friday due to weak USD .... The electronic slowdown in October will be forgotten next week.

My take is STI will be Flat, if not a Sligh Rebounce 2molo ... All eyes are on US's Black Friday retail figures next week - which should be shiok!

If you guys noticed, our PM, SM, MM and cabinet ministers are all over the globe recently to push for free trades and touting Singapore. To prevent a slower growth for S'pore next year, our government is seeking to attract more foreign investments and expand exports for local biz. But next year won't be that bad since they are hiking GST to 7%.

the presure would be on over price blue chips and electronic stocks.

primary still trend, correction will take place along the way.

I believe cetain sectors worth holding for longer term. eg property sector pick up will definitely benefit those down the chain, eg construction, products like door, door set, cement, bricks, etc etc... suppliers.

Seems like most veterans and gurus think that next week will be a down week?

Should I sell off my stocks now?
