I don't think oil prices affect the cost of their transportation because their rail locomotives could be powered by steam or coal

thanks for info! seems like a double edged type of investing. On one hand they are into oil and gas exploration which is good because Oil prices now sky high. On the other hand, they are also into transportation which is adversely affected by oil prices.
It is a diversified investment company with investments mainly in rail transport, petroleum refining, education and healthcare, oil and gas exploration..and many others. Current NTA is abt $0.34. They are in the process of selling of Gas Company of Hawaii ( GASCO ), after the sale NTA and EPS will increase by 7 cents. They could also give out a dividend of 1 to 2 cents/share

FYI: K1 doubled from $784.2mil (30/6/2005) to 1.6bil (31/3/2006) follwing acguisition og Helm (8/7/2005). The Hawaii Public Utility Commission has granted sales of GASCO, to be expects complete this transscation prior to d Grp financial year end June 30, 2006. Proceeds from sales will contribute singnificantly to d cashflow of this group.
K1 come back from it drop to closed on d top 20volume again +1cts to $0.365cts on a vol of 14mil shares traded, got big supporters around.
on a vol 25.3 mliion shares, got big boys strong supporter here gian is fair even btw big blue chip & china stocks, hope "Ming Tien Hui Kan Hao", vested here.
