strange... price drops quite fiercely these days. 1.39 now.
wow i really hope that cityspring starts going up when STI goes down... cos right now, it's only going down haha...
yes, that what I think as well....
CitySpring is reverse of STI index just like any defensive financial instrument
e.g. bond
oh dear

I think when sti down this also down.
STI up, Cityspring down.
Maybe when STI down, CitySpring will go up....

STI cheongg..3,422.62. +22.62 pt. :)

CitySpring cheongg.. down! to $1.41ct and closed at $1.43ct (-2cts).

AhBear, how did you work out the $1 mark? Don't really think it'd hit $1. If it goes back down to $1.35, i'll gladly load up somemore, sit on it until it hatches or until Temasek sells its stakes.
ctspring still continuing to head down... hope it starts picking up again
I doubt the trustee mgr will be getting any performance fee if the counter don't perform.
Read the prospectus on the computation of the performance fee.
this few days drop is sad and disappointing..
but diluted to $1.. i dun tink it is likely..
but diluted to $1.. i dun tink it is likely..
crab la.... typical price dip when the "fund manager" received big big ang pou!!!
i have to say this "performance fee" and "base fee" will be a yearly payment or even quarterly if they decide to distribute the fees in that manner. At this rate by the end of the third quarter the share will be too diluted to even hold $1.
Based on dividend of 6% at $0.89, CitiSpring only gives a dividend yield of 4.11% to 3.96% between $1.30 to $1.35. Wonder if it would actually fall that low as it is not purely a dividend play. There's supposed to be some room for growth ...
Maybe, one of the reasons it got sold is because it has to pay a performance bonus of approx 39 million shares (about 8.16 % of total no of shares) to the trustee, which is wholly owned by Temasek.
This means that there is a dilution in terms of dividend to be paid out, although the trustee has assured that the supposed yield will still be 6 cents or so, inspite of the dilution.
Why so much performance bonus is paid, is a complicated thing to explain here, but basically it is due to the share price of city spring outperforming an asian based utility index. (because the share price jump from 0.89 at ipo to 1.50, as at end mar - Qtr 1 20070.
As long as the funds that bought into city spring, like the capital grp, still keep faith in the stock, and if they do acquisition going forward, the stock should be alright in the medium to longer term.
Technically, the stk has broken the 1.46 support today, although it close off the low (which is a good sign), and if it does not go back above 1.50, then it may trade within the 1.35 - 1.50 range.
lost $1000 liao. sad..
Hold for long term as this is dividend play, not for trading.....
6% returns based on the ipo 89cents... so do some maths inversely for the apprioprate entry price :)
may i know what is the desired price?
For those vested any advice to jump off the boat and get into the fire later?
The drop is great for investors with a long time horizon. I'm gonna load up once it hits my desired price.
