ipunter.agreed. near means what? seems like its not easy to call the tops. so hard to reach the direction. some say crash, some say bull..lol. confused.

 

Ended flat as expected.... I would think the month of December, especially the last holiday week, would be something like today.

 

Unlikely to crash any time, only small correction here and there. Primary still up trend.

 

This is an optimist's point of view.

Many think the market is going to crash, but many also think that there could be many 'cheongings' by dormant and lagging stocks in the not too distant future. It is a fact that many counters have not yet done their 'cheong' thing ('for the more sophisticated punters, 'cheong' means surge), so  how can one think that the market is going to crash just because it seems 'high'?

As far as I know, the market will soon crash only when there's no more counters left to 'cheong' and that's when everyone made money by simply anyhow 'whacking' on any stock.

Obviously that is far from the case at the present time.

Why got cheongings?? Can explain?

 

I believe there still will be a lot of 'cheongings' in the coming weeks/months.

STI of 3,000 is not too far fetched.

Predict next big correction next Feb'07.

 

The guy says the Dow is near the top of its trading range and a really big fall is due soon. But if you consider it from the big picture perspective, 'near' could mean the market may have 6 months, 1 year, or even more to go before the predicted end? If the market really has changed direction, then it will be obvious from the indices over reasonable period for all to see

 

DOW to dip 700 pts or more by this yr.

STI will probably end flat today like the Dow. Its the weekend and people don't wanna take too many positions now.

I remember someone saying the STI  'has detached itself'  from the Dow.
