Genting Singapore (G13.SG) +0.5% at $2.04 on modest volume, tracking broad market uptick.
While +4.6% to date from 2-month low of $1.95 set last week, stock still struggling to gain momentum as near-term catalysts lacking after strong rally since gaming group returned to profitability in 2Q10. Still, "there are optimistic technical signs as well as a good track record that can be used as a gauge to call a trading buy on Genting," says AmFraser Securities strategist Najeeb Jarhom.
Says stock having "good 1-2 week run-ups" at start of each month since September before pullbacks towards month-end; "this pattern may be played out again in the next couple of weeks."
Expects shares eventually move back up to $2.07-$2.14 levels "quite easily".

Haha,just got back from KL,having beer with my cousins & freinds.Told them about this issue,similar response from the ordinary Malaysians when they 1st hear these.It's a lose lose situation to both side of the causeway if restrictions start to impose which is unlikely as currently the bilateral relation seems cordial at the moment .Well,of course,for those missed the boat earlier will probably hope for any bad news on Genting to enter at a lower price.LoL

Ha ha, thats simple mah. State d rule that anyone visiting IR's Casino would be fined, say 1000 Rm loh. Just position one or two custom officers at d entrances of the Casino can liao, catches those who Q at non Singaporean entrance n who show Msia passport.
But on d other hand, Spore Garment may impose d same measure for those who visiting Genting Highland Casino as well. Like that, no end loh.

Support at almost 2-month low of $1.92 set Wednesday.

Regardless of time-frame,
this stock presently either
in an uptrend... or a downtrend...
There's no such thing as 'sideways trend'...
If it temporarily moves 'sideways',
it will ultimately still trend.
Regarding the act of holding,
it must be noted that 'holding' is in fact buying,
ie. a holder is in reality in a buy position (long),
and not, as many people think, an act of neutrality...

If Casino Genting Bhd likewise provide free tpt and freebie,
it will be very convenient for Singaporean to go to
Genting Highland casino. I am very sure the response
will be very good. Anybody waiting for this opportunity?
