Dude, you obviously have not been reading and keeping yours ear open. The cost of safety/ barrier  doors is borne by Gahmen. Smrt only need to pay for the maintenance costs. So, pls get your facts right!

free tips for everyone
smrt and roads are like singapore veins. it carry the people across pt.a & pt b. smrt is a fantastic company a stable and sound one. where investors can see its business and assets everyday. i am sure everyone have notice how crowded.mrt has become.nowdays. anyway smrt at this price is really a good. you should be seeing smrt trading over $2.01 to 2.30 pretty soon
The  assets  will be used  to  do up all the  " safety doors" sooner if not later,  to save the people's  legs......

stable & consistent volume too ...
yup ... a good investment vehicle ... more lines on the way ...
solid company ... imagine the amount of assets ...
SMRT is very safe from many crisis unless Spore is hit by earthquake. It give you good sleep and dividend. As long as housing and personal Income keep rising, the stock is good for investment and good sleep. It is safely kept away from speculators and traders.Thats what I like., Just like Spore post and Vicom.

SMRT has grow from $0.6 in 2004 to $1.9in 2011, a staggering > 30% growth yearly over the past 7 years. Is this sustainable?

Investing in an infrastructure stock like SMRT must always be long term and never ever think about quick profit. If you are  trader, this is the wrong place to be in. Another 5 to 10years down the road, SMRT will continue to be very profitable . Besides that , it is a reasonably high dividend yield  stock and is well buffer from all forms of speculation. Buy more if there is any downward correction .

SMRT has  few hundreds more trains to be on the road soon,  this one can cost them a lot too.

Doesn't MRT run on electricity? If there is no increase in electricity cost announced, shouldn't there be no increase in MRT operational cost. In addition, increase in petrol price should encourgae more motorist to take MRT.
Anyway. will MRT every lose money? The cost will be passed on to passenger. Maybe not now but after election :)
GLP got wharehouse in tsuinami stricken areas of Japan...so naturally it dropped.
it's so funny tat many ppl expect this to drop if it got kicked out of sti..
instead, glp dropped more than smrt..
haha

Downtrend is imminent! Better get out now!
Call me naive, but I thought transport related companies would suffer a bit due to the rising oil prices caused by the Libyan crisis? Sigh. I'm underwater already.

how come for the last month, the share price has behaved as if someone already knew about the index change?
what he meant was probably people taking public transport instead of driving which constitutes to the increase in revenue...
