Audit shown that China Gov mismanaged US 6.7b. Who say China has no transparency???

Do we hv such audit??? I think should hv lah.

Honestly, I think the only companies that will follow the new rules will be the public service. Do you think that SMEs that are trying hard to survive this economic nightmare will follow it?

the new policy only benefited to st board employees and not those private sector, esp the service sectors.

Coys tend to employ non citizen, esp male only, to avoid the extra payout.

AK opine that just give the new born a lump sum of money is better option. As the mother can opt to apply no pay  m leave whatever length she wishes. When I was infant, mum next 2 days ought to work after giving birth alrdy.

What's everyone's views on the new maternity laws?

I'm worried that the new laws will just discourage employers  to hire females in important roles.

Baby here .. baby there ...

maybe we should ask mainland China to sent us 1,000, 000 babies ...

recall ... Mao had asked Henry Kissinger to take 1,000, 000 Chinese women to USA ... because they had surplus ....

solve both our problems ... we have deficit babies and they have one child policy ..the extra babies could come over ...we'll grow and groom them into Singaporeans ... the parents and their siblings will be happy over there ..and we will be happy here becos we have solved our population woes ...

...and ask China to send us 3 years supply of daipers too for each baby  ...

hahaha !

God will not place a burden on a man's shoulders knowing that he cannot carry it.

Parkinson's is my toughest fight. No, it doesn't hurt. It's hard to explain. I'm being tested to see if I'll keep praying, to see if I'll keep my faith. All great people are tested by God.

The sun is always shining someplace.

of course la.. because they did offer $0.90 airfare, oh, for me 1 two-ways ticket to Bangkok... $5.99, cost about SGD 198 total... still cheap... found a hotel only SGD 38 for 2 person 1 night... so, 5 days 4 nights trip for 2 person is about (198x 2) + (38x 4)  =SGD 548 for 2 person for airticet and hotel... best of all...... singapore dollar exchange rate to Thai Baht hit all time high ! with SGD 1 to THB 24... if you go in January 2008, the exchange rate is about 20.80 , the rate in Aug 2007 even worse, only 19.80... so within half a year, calculating 20.80 vs 24 exchange rate, you are on gain more than 15%... in other words, now everything at Thailand is 15% discount first before you purchase them. heeee... but i think thai is slowly recovering, got to change Thai bahts now....

forget about the volatile market la.. let's go for some vacation and enjoy ~ i went on sep 26 come back on sep 30, oct 1 is public holiday, resting day for us, hee.. so, take 2.5 days leave only since flight is at 6 pm on sep 26 ~
