i don't think the true character of another can ever be known, not unless both are perfectly honest: one in revealing himself/herself, the other in not having any conceptions or ideas about the *perfect* lover and dropping all expectations and images to see the other as he/she really is.
but if perfection is impossible, then it stands to reason that it is impossible to know another person fully. ie, 'true character' can never be known.
so what remains then is the negotiation of common ground. what masks you are willing to see, what masks you are willing to accept.
if you ask me, love/attraction is overrated, and independence, underrated.
Divorces are the most probable (like stocks) natural outcome of 'love at first sight'.
Just think about it... it is only an initial attraction which has absolutely nothing whatsoever
to do with love. The word 'love' here is being misused to mean attraction (for whatever reason).
How can one love a person before even knowing the person's true character?
In all probability, hatred will be the natural response when one gets to know the true character...
that much depends on the scanning resolution of each inbuilt system. of course $ calls the shot loh.
if you use those system currently used in the custom immigration, no issue. another typical exp is those system used in Immigration office for your passport and NRIC.
henceforth, before u buy anything which any gadget will provide, varify on the spot could be much viable loh.
Heng ah, didn't go for the COMEX to hunt for rechargeable bat yesterday, instead went for RSAF open house.
The 40% increase of Comex exibit space, has given the gatget extravaganza was mostly standing room only.
Forumer recommended HP lately. Yes its latest TouchSmart IQ805d PC, claimed to be the only all-in-1 touch-scr desktop on the market. More than 800 coys crowded around, whats more???
Fingerprint reader is bullshit lah..
I have it on my new Dell laptop but it is not smart enough. I need to scan a few times before it recognises my fingerprint.

hehe.. interesting that we're discussing this here..
i tend to think that true love must withstand the test of time.. and challenges..
when you're in it for some time.. glamour, romance fade.. routine sets in... and challenges come where you are tempted or have to make huge sacrifices for the family due to illness, financial issues..
err ... it is about following your dreams ... about pursuing ur passion ...etc etc ...
motivational subject ... : )
While true love is always on the lips of 'lovers', it is actually hard to encounter true love.
The simplest test of love is to ask the question :-
*Will the man still love the woman if the feature that attracted the man is no more in the woman?
or
*Will the woman still love the man if the financial (material) advantage is no more present in the man?
As long as this question is not honestly answered with an affirmative commitment, one should not
assume true love to be present.
Attraction yes, but not love...
True love allows you to fulfill your goals, and to reach into the Soul of the World!
The Personal Legend is one's reason for living; essentially, one's goal in life. Everyone in the world has a Personal Legend; by reaching his/hers, he/she adds to the Soul of the World, or its purity.
The Personal Legend of a person surfaces early in his/her life, and one can never find true happiness without fulfilling it.
The shepherd's Personal Legend is clear: to find his treasure at the Egyptian pyramids. The alchemist had already fulfilled his Personal Legend, which was to become a true alchemist and learn the Master Work. The crystal merchant's Personal Legend was to visit Mecca, and the Tarifa baker's Personal Legend was to travel the world, but these two characters chose not to follow their dreams.
-- The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It is a symbolic story that urges its readers to follow their dream

It's so good to have Uncle AK here...

Its a second yr such gathering was organised. $ sponsored for the function, more than expected, to aid for those poors in our hometown to pursue their studies, esp in primary school.
The moral of the storry, is that the recent budget by the coalition party, is it adequate for all????

since u are very good at fine-combing for bargains, I was hoping that u might have done some 'meticulous analysis' of laptops/notebooks too....u didn't disappoint me with ur suggestions ...thanks : )
mine is HP OmniBook 900 from jurassic period ...hahaha ! (stricltly for non-internet use )
Agreed, to solve the current needs, go FN or SS is better option, the store attendants will offer u the best price, u bugetted for. Take and go, hence, no hassle.
On the other hand, as there are numerous giant IT coy in the exibits, u may ask what u want in relation to cutting age tech in computing arena, from the Prof, Engr etc in attendance at the various boots.
Ie, is the current note book Core 2 Duo pro of 2.53 GHz is going to stay for a while, what next, when, cheap, etc.
Is current Fingerprint Reader will extend further to new access card reading as well???
Can webcam couples with other software in your note book to provide surveillance facility to protect your car or even home from intrusion???
What else???
The Dell Laptop + one 22" separate LCD screen is a superb combo which I think is targetted at
Forex traders.
Strictly speaking, who needs 6 separate clumsy screens to trade forex? (Gives me neck-ache)
And Windows is created with much foresight too... hehehe...

Whenever there is Comex/PC Show, I will only go to Funan Centre or Simlim Square.
I find my trip much, much more enjoyable there. And the crowd is lesser than usual due to the shows. And the excitement is no less, since I am tech-savvy too...
Besides, what can you find at the shows which you can't find at the PC mall? ...
Thus, there's no way you can get me to attend a Comex/PC Show...
yo baseerahmed, are u calling me?
has any of what? cheap and best notebook ? actually, I REAALLLYYY... don't understand how come Comex can be so crowded every single time in SINGAPORE... do they really have so many things to buy ? digital camera, notebook, LCD, phone, do u really need to buy every year? wa pian..
heee.. not sure what is your question, anyway, my laptop is hp pavilion zt3000 series bought in March 2004 with price of SGD 3K... used until now everything works perfectly 0 defects except my battery life gone down from 3 hours lifelong to 40 mins now, (even though i practise the draining of battery since I bought the notebook... I believe after 4++ years of usage, the battery life will go down tremendously..
best value for money of course is Singtel MIO... heee.. everymonth now only SGD 55, and my cell phone is a E51, heee.. nice phone much cheaper than the stupid i-phone asking for SGD 690 (for my i-one plus at MIO)... well, the price I am willing to pay the most is SGD 290 for i-phone, of course it is the coolest phone..
your budget of 1200 max can get you a pretty decent DELL laptop for your info.. or just sign up a broadband and get a free laptop, OR... buy the "free laptop" at ebay at discounted price, some people are selling the laptop after they signed up the plan but have a computer themselve..
enjoy the comex.. not going there definitely~
