haha I think maybe management use Trading Halt to pause the sell down :P
As US market crash 100 points yesterday. So to avoid another morning sell off. Halt la :)
But I really hope something good is brewing.

Haha its quite scary 2010 for Shareholders -
a) Company announce that it has problems repaying the debt in Jan
b) CFO, whose main job was the CB, resigns abruptly
c) Company shares being dumped
d) Company orders trading halt
e) ???
Think this halt will be a either make it or break it situation....
It is the bond holders (NOT C Milk) that hv opted to be paid now rather than wait till 2012. Bcos of this show of no confidence by the lenders, C Milk will hv great difficulty refinancing this bond. No lenders will step into the bond holders place now. Very high risk, especially if the cash balance is questionable (by example of Sino Env, China Fibrechem, etc). I got burnt also but hv sold out long ago.

The bond holders have the option to call in the debts in 2010. They have done so and so China Milk must repay them. This shouldn't be a problem since they have more than RMB2 billion cash at their disposal which can easily cover the bond twice over. So if they have problems repaying, it means that the cash is inflated and hence a potential fraud case.

I thought china milk bond is due at 2012 but they opt to pay it early 2010.

China Milk is going to be acquired...be prepare..
too many bad news.
Like huge debts and not paying up, not clarifying with the people on the debts, resignation of chief financial officer, melamine scandal.
Better pray that trading can resume soon.
