Ji Mai Wu Lang Si liao......Those who short at 1.37 to 1.38 are very risky, now stay put at 1.37.

Exactly 2 years ago mid Aug 2010, genting went up to $1.50. From then, the support has been the $1.47-$1.48 region until mid Jun this year. So, genting's strongest resistance would be the $1.47-$1.48 region which previously been its support for almost 2 years.

hi,

Genting need to stay above 1.34 (20 dMA) for reversal  to become  uptrend....looking at the vol today....i think very likely..

cheers,

Jason.

hi,

the million dollar question is at the low (1.225 and 1.235)  there was huge vol...selling...and who is buying??? people panic and selll...sell to who?? who is collecting? some big fish.....

logically, if fundamentals is really bad, there will be nobody collecting...and the stock would keep falling...coz no support....which is what happened from 1.70 - 1.30....keep selling and falling....

now keeping selling but price found support liao....i have mentioned that around 1.20 is the critical support....think about it...fishy hor....

cheers,

jason.

Looking at this counter's chart for the past weeks,

one can see that the big downspurts are on very high volume,

whereas the up moves are on low volume...

Techies may like to have a look at the chart...  Smiley

You have made money. Actually, there's no such thing as 'paper profit'.

You only regard it as such because you are still holding it. But in reality,

you have already made real solid money. It is your money... Smiley

most important to have a plan..

entry and exit strategy...

that way u can cover your downside by placing a stop loss

and realized your profits once your target is reached..

If one is strict about one's entry, one can then be equally strict about one's stop-loss (exit).

It is all a matter of safe and defensive play as opposed to sloppy (trigger-happy) and risky play...  Smiley

First of all, it is senseless to set a stop-loss arbitrarily.

Stop-loss is a highly personal thing and no two persons should do the same thing.

For example, different persons may set the stop-loss at -1%, -10%, -50%, -100%, -200%... etc.

It really depends on why one enters a trade in the first place... Smiley

this ship always like to die slowly..

may be it's too big :)

of course a lot ppl will say it's well supported now..

i would agree with u all it looks well supported now..

1-2 months ago it was well supported at 1.42.. then 1.38.. then 1.35..

a few weeks ago it was well supported at 1.32.. then 1.28...

now it looks well supported at 1.22-1.23..

the prob is we will never know this " well supported" can last for how long? :

On the other hand, if sifu is posting a quote as reminder to newbies, it is a good thing too.

Anyway, with regard to the post, the point I was making is that no one can predict

the outcome before it happens. As regards to trend, no one can tell what

the trend is until the market shows it. This is true at any moment in time... Smiley

thats why dun despise them, they add color to the forum. like tv commercial break, too much of main story makes the story dry, u need commercial break so u can go to take a pee or some breather. stocks is like a 1000 eps taiwan tv drama, u cant watch it like a movie.

u watch it like a movie during critical period.

it's funny to see people shouting buying and selling price here, and it's also not wise to follow.

cashiertan      ( Date: 16-Aug-2012 09:32) Posted:

dun dispise them, just take their views into consideration while making your own.

just try to think what motives are those people creating these noises and you will know what they are doing.

The more important question is whether this stock is trending down, or trending up...

Trend is the gradual unfoldment of prices in time, and no one can tell what

that unfoldment is going to be. It can only be known after the unfoldment...  Smiley
