the bulk of my money are not on hot stocks..
most of it are in quiet counters that are away from the public's focus..
i follow the smart money...go in 1st to counters that not many realise their potential or value
and wait for analyst/media to cover then i slowly let go to them..
good luck chasing hot stocks..won't get rich but can earn u pocket money chasing these hotties..

demand & supply..
they are celebrating n and dancing ONLY in their own backyard. no one give a damn to what they are doing
And yet others(ozone....) still dreaming on it.
Sound promising; Change industry, change name, aquire companys.
However no funds seems to be attracted at all; counter seems forgotten and volume vanishing. SIGN......

Viking Offshore & Marine: Acquisitions to boost capabilities
Acquires stakes in two companies.
announced that it has entered into sale and purchase agreements to acquire
100% of Promoter Hydraulics Distributor Pte Ltd (PHPL) for a total
consideration of S$22.25m and 55% of Marine Accomm Pte Ltd (MAPL)
for S$7.5m. According to management, PHPL is Singapore's largest
wholesaler in winches, power packs and marine decking equipment. It is
part of the Promoter group founded in 1976. MAPL, on the other hand,
does the engineering, design and construction of vessel accommodation
and interiors. Both are complementary businesses to Viking Airtech, which
Viking acquired in Jan 2010.
Viking Offshore & Marine (Viking)PHPL acquired at discount to fair market value.
PHPL for S$18m in cash and the rest (S$4.25m) in the form of Viking
shares (~3.6% dilution). The fair market value of assets to be acquired was
S$32m as at 23 Jun 2010 but NTA was S$10.9m as at 31 Dec 09 as the
bulk of the assets were carried at cost. Revenue and net profit were S$14.9m
and S$6.2m in FY09 respectively.
Viking will acquireMarine accom enjoys high revenue.
S$61m in FY09 while the average historical unaudited revenue for FY06-09
was S$51m. This will help propel Viking's revenue - management hopes to
raise revenue past the S$100m mark so as to be part of the Singapore
government's initiative to grow 1000 local firms with revenues of over S$100m
by 2020. With subsidiaries in China, Viking hopes to develop this business
with its facilities in China (e.g. Viking Airtech Yantai). Despite the high
revenue, net profit in FY09 is estimated to be less than S$1m only. We
think Viking will aim to see how it can improve productivity and realize
synergies among its business units, leading to greater efficiency and higher
margins. According to management, MAPL also has a large client base
that Viking can tap on.
MAPL enjoyed high revenue ofMarket likely to monitor cashflows.
09) and it also raised S$7m from sale of equity investments in May this
year, leaving about S$25m of quoted equity investments (at market value)
left on its balance sheet. S$10m of the PHPL cash consideration will be
paid on the completion date (about Aug) and the rest in Jan 2011, making
it less of a constraint on the group's cash resources. We have adjusted our
estimates and our fair value estimate inches up to S$0.32. Maintain
Viking has about S$15m cash (end-BUY.(Low Pei Han)
Too early to judge fr this case. Anyway not a buy call. This one looks attractive to get on for mid term to long term.
Next UMS is making lost in previous qtr. N seems like being speculated up recently. N the up been alot already. May not have meat in there anymore........
I am disappointed with this news reaction; it didn't even arouse any funds interest at all.
I think its time to switch to other more promising recommendation like UMS or others; hence will probably unload half of 800lots to some
other potential plays.
Feel it will play further to lower price. After all it is sound only excited within the management!!
For long term, it looks good.
Cheers.
Today pricing effected look to me more like due to market sentiment on US & Euro.
Remember the aquisition will up its revenue....... Its something very positive......
Cheers.
