Sorry to hear your episode. For me, I have some chemistry with GPB. My first entry is $2.50. Just few lots. But due to Asian Crisis, it dropped till $1.50 range and I picked up more at various point since I am flooded with cash at that time! My price range from $1.52 to $1.60. I patiently waited at when it gets passed $2.50, I was so excited! I had to manage my inner self and emotion here on. I started to analyse the situation. This is a highly cyclical stock. When it trend higher, I was so tempted to let go. I resisted but eventually let go at $3.50 for the 5 lots bought at $2.50. I said to myself, for the rest, anything above $3.50 is bonus. Finally I take profit for the rest at $3.78. I did not sell at the highest but I am satisfied. This is real and it helps to cushion the losses for other stocks and I am able to let go emotion and cut losses! I beleive that every person is lucky and unlucky in different ways. So please do not despair, I am sure you do have other winners in your portfolio. In the meantime, I do have some at $1.10. I am tempted to pick up some more as it goes further down.

Beware.  Has not improved since so many years.  I was in at 2.11 last year when I saw it was quite cheap compared to its NTA of 2.50, but it was a futile wait.  Luckily cut loss for a few hundred dollars. Was holding 20 lots.  Would have lost a ton if did not exit.  Now below $1.00 looks much cheaper.  But I won't be touching this anymore.  Once bitten twice shy!

Not a call to buy or sell.

OCBC securities report a hold? Due to continued high commodity price? This is a time to pick it up. Need patience. Thinking, thinking....

Below $1 stock now. Due to high material and commodity cost? Once this commodity high take a breather, GP Batteries will certainly perform. Meanwhile, I switched my cash position into CPF. The intrinsic value of this company is much higher than this depressed price.

Hi! Is exercising of options considered a way to cash out or showing interests in a company?

Dear Comtech,

Why not wait till its price goes to Sgd. 0.50, would that be cheaper to buy then?

Dear Readers,

I consider this stock is severely under-valued. I am placing the buy order now, and accumulate around Sgd. 1.29 till Sgd.1.50. Its NTA is above Sgd. 2.50. It is so cheap..........

A very inactive stock. Looks like bottoming out. However, it may just stay around the current price level for a few months.

Is the worst for GP Batteries over ?

The share price seems to find support at $1.36. Against the overall market, GPB has moved up today to $1.39, on low volume as usual. Its NTA is attractive at about $3.00, a decent 2.5% dividend yield and projected PE of 6 times.

The volume for this stock has been consistently low. Not a good sign. This shows lack of interest.
