rights give you the right to own the share usually at a lower price, eg $1.

so you buy the rights from the market but you still have to top up with the $1

hence the mother share may be $2.50, the Rights to own the share is $1 and the cost of the right is $0.50 , the total price to own the Mother share through right issue is $1.50. Hence you profit $1.

But as volume of share increase, share price will be diluted

Dun quite understand abt excess rights thingy, how does it comes abt? Is it only available to current shareholders or to anybody?

If there is possiblilty of buying excess rights at $0.11, why would anybody want to buy at open market at more than $0.11

Confused!

If you have internet access to CDP you can check or wait for the cdp to write to you today or tomorrow.

this right issue for this counter is to start trading tmr. Has anyone know how to find out your allotment before the trading begin tmr?
My money is not refunded and CDP is not reflected with excess application...

K. thank.

just to confirm - I will be getting the Shares, not Rights, hence, there will only be CSC being traded on the 28th.

Hopefully the share price will not be diluted too much due to the increase in the volume of share.

kengteck26,
Rights issue starts trading 28 Mar (tmr). You prob can check your CDP or your bank refund to find out how much you manage to get

Newbie question: There is no confirmation that you will get the "+ more excess", m i right? Will be be based on random selection?

How much excess can I apply?

if dun subscribe, yours holding will get diluted in near term. Best is to subscribe the rights + the more excess.

hi alanwong12345, what i know is that by 20 mar is the dateline whether if you accept/reject /apply for excess of the right share. Then about 2 weeks from then, those whole lots can be trade as mother share while the rest as odds be it CSC R / CS R250, hope i didnt confuse u.

Hi all,

Anyone know what is the different between the right share that we are talking about and the CSC R aand CSC R250 on SGX stock list.

How the right share work and how it related to the mother share.

Hi Smltimer, if you apply for odd lot to make up for the whole lot, then you will have a good chance of getting the odd lot.  This is the advice from my broker and it seems quite true.

read from CNA that there are rumours that there are some legal cases between contractors and concrete suppliers.
