This is very true. My guess is that it's share px pretty constant bcos it's still considered a defensive play. pple flee from other stocks n put their money here; in times of uncertainty.

hie guys! Starhub is still under market price now. still a very gd time to go in now. u just compare with m1 price. e difference is less than 10cts.
make ur choice now!
Starhub may reverse the trend. The dividend is still very attractive for people to jump in!

http://www.investmentmoats.com/money-management/dividend-investing/starhub-q1-2010-results/my conclusion is that they are walking a fine line. competition is not just killing starhub but m1. only singtel's pockets are deep enough to play.
if revenue dun increase and cost dun be control, dividends are getting difficult.
I like this counter, well treat to shareholder.
The question is next quarter whether the profit can sustain or not ??

wow! starhub gonna CUM DIVIDEND SOON. 080510. PAY OUT ON AROUND 04/06/10. 5CTS AGAIN! CELEBRATE!
if cash flow is predictable and good, they will go for debt financing instead of equity financing to boost the eps and dividend yield. that's why they did the capital reduction a few years back
Oh no !! XD down six cents !!
StarHub AGM: Liabilities, constraints questioned
Concerns over StarHub’s liabilities and constraints about its directors’ priorities were highlighted as CEO Neil Montefiore helmed his first AGM after joining the telco last February.
About 80 shareholders attended the 12th AGM on Friday, which was held at its Ubi office.
Talk revolved around the approval of more than $1 million in directors’ fees for the year ended Dec 31 last year. StarHub’s top management also talked about the declaration of final dividend amounting to 5 cents a share and the granting of authority to directors to allot and issue shares.
Mr Low Chai Chee, a retiree and former accountant, asked the management about the $400 million net liability position in StarHub’s financials.
In response, StarHub chief financial officer Kwek Buck Chye said liabilities for telcos are fairly typical and it was not a cause for concern as the company had enough funds to operate their business and to distribute dividend payouts.

Price War coming. Actually, it has started alreadi. Have you been checking price plan recently ?
With garment proposing share content. Starhub stand to lose more. Singtel has deep pocket and a very hungry prediator.
See how far they go to win EPL ESPN. If you only knew the signifiance.
When there is a price war. Stand on the big guy side. I was there when Intel almost crushed AMD......heeeeee... |

MediaCorp no longer shareholder of StarHub
With the distribution of the dividend in specie, which represents around 7.5 per cent of StarHub's issued share capital, the broadcaster is no longer a StarHub shareholder.
Temasek Holdings has in turn sold the new StarHub shares to Aranda Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Capital unit Seletar Investments, at $2.29 apiece.
STARHUB'S long-term shareholder MediaCorp has distributed its remaining 128 million shares in StarHub to Temasek Holdings as payment in lieu of a cash interim dividend for the financial year ended March 31, 2010.
