You are a very wise trader.
Although you  have been holding it for a long time,
        You have
sold it at the right time (very wise).
                  Thus, by your
buying low and selling high,
that alone makes you a great trader... congrats...

My in is 2006 at 38cts and out at 2.20, its too expensive now.
12 million shares, just compute 1cts dividend need 120million to pay out. Just work out the sum and you know how to long.
Gensp many people still hold on like biobe at 2.20.

You ppl are alright. What the heck given dividend and our share price start falling.Better to have good price than 1or 2 cents bullshit dividend.I purchase at very low price, and still keep buying when opportunity knocks.
This share is for keeping and invest long.Trust me we all will have a good big laugh at the end.I only invest in Genting related share. They bring me VEEEEEEERyyyyyyyy gooooooooood return.I'm laughing. Why don't all of u.
If I know,I will sell all my other counters and dump all my money in this counter,I will also sell car and mortgage house to buy.LoL
Anyway, there are ppl who bought even cheaper after me,those are the real  lucky one.

Yes,the counter is for capital yeild only, don't understand why ppl keep mentioning about dividend  yet to be pay for this counter?Even if they will to give dividend later, with the huge freefloats, don't expect SIA or SIAEC kind of dividend.Anyway, shorties can said whatever they want, those who buy cheap can just choose to  ignore them, been hearing story from them since 2007 by comparing RWS to TANG CITY etc, look at the  px back  then and the  px today. To each his own, hahaha.

LOL, fools from shortists again.  We know all the casino counters around the world are good in capital gains not dividends payment.  Compare to other casino counters, the gensp share price is considered cheap and still have big room to grow.  Buy on your own judgement and this counter is full of shortists. |

IMHO,it's better to get back capital and wait.Well, even when it goes down, one can always afford to sit and wait without much anxiety, knowing that whatever in hand is profits which only a matter of getting more or less that's all.Cheers :)

Gen SP is only in Phase 1, more hotels and theme parks coming up. if the govt allows those junket operators to operate the casino rev will go thru the roof but junket operators are heavily linked to loan sharking.
Long term it is a safe bet but volatility is like the battalestar galatica rollercoaster :)

Agree,I don't think the dividend is gonna be attractive,as you mentioned  .There's a hugh free-float of shares out there.Anyway,I'm not looking forward for dividend yield  in this counter.I have already got back my capital at between $1.86 - $2.25,as for the remainder 75lots,just waiting,I reckon it still have room to move up if nothing  catastrophic happens along the way.Cheers |

Singapore to overtake Las Vegas this year

MACAU - SINGAPORE is set to overtake Las Vegas as the
world's second-largest gambling hub this year, a US gaming industry head
said on Tuesday, as Asia cements its place as a major betting market.
Singapore has emerged as Asia's hottest new gambling
destination with a revamped cityscape and billions of dollars pouring
into the economy, after the opening of two resort casinos in 2010.
The strong growth came after Macau - the world's biggest
gaming hub - leapfrogged Las Vegas in gaming revenue and continues to
post record-breaking growth, thanks to burgeoning numbers of wealthy
Asians.
The two resort casinos in Singapore posted US$5.1 billion
(S$6.3 billion) in gaming revenues in 2010, a figure forecast to rise to
$6.4 billion this year, according to Frank Fahrenkopf, president of the
American Gaming Association.
A report citing research by the Royal Bank of Scotland has suggested Las Vegas will take $6.2 billion this year.
'Now more than a year old, the two integrated resorts in
Singapore have exceeded all expectations and turned the nation into
Asia's second global gaming superpower,' said Mr Fahrenkopf. 'The
country's gaming market will likely overtake Las Vegas as the world's
second-largest gaming centre as early as this year,' he told a news
conference at the sidelines of the Global Gaming Expo Asia which opened
on Tuesday in Macau. -- AFP
