Changi's Budget Terminal to make way for new and improved terminal
By Hetty Musfirah | Posted: 29 February 2012 1703 hrs
SINGAPORE: Airlines operating from Singapore's Budget Terminal will soon operate from the main terminals at Changi Airport.
That's because the Budget Terminal will be closed later this year to make way for a new and improved terminal.
Travelling the no-frills way has become more popular.
Last year, one in four passengers at Changi Airport travelled on a low-cost carrier (LCC), compared to about one in five in 2010.
In fact, low-cost carriers accounted for 28.6 percent of all flights at Changi Airport.
And the outlook is bright.
Today's news is positive for Tiger Air as the plan for expansion of the new budget terminal by Singapore authority  will cater to its interests amongst the budget airlines operating here.

Before their Now lifted Australian Ban,  it was like $1.85 - $2 ...then the suspension couple with the bad market due to Europe problem.....Greece...  it really got greased.... fall fall....until around 90+ cents  then issue  rights share......adjust downwards....to 80 cents...then.....market bad......... further down to 60 cents...almost 59 cents...than...only recently climb back up to misery 80 over cents... this kind of airline....if world economy improves..... Greece problem resolved.... can fly back above $1.50 at the minimum but it takes ... long time..like 1 over to 2 years..
Only for longish..:)
But it might just fly due to news...long before that...no one can tell for sure...
If insider buy their own shares there are usually good sign...joint venture...new routes etc etc..
this not in my radar...
but looking at another tiger...Tiger Woods....hummm...
supposedly the worst is over....it will take sometimes for it to fly again...just be patient....

I was actually about to ask one question but DBS beat me to it by a " hint"   in its assessment.
My question really is answered indirectly by it, and this is my question:
" With the vacuum created by Air Australia going defunct, how many budget airlines operating in Aussie land will fill its gap for budget travellers? Tiger Air will get how big portion of the windfall business?" .
