How come so many shares traded today but no price movement??!

Just wanna share the information with everyone in this forum
The only fear now is whether the uptrend is temporary up to 5 September and go downtrend after that.
Wanna keep them for long term but fear the people who have bought the rights will sell them off after 5 September.
May be some experts want to help the layman here how to make the best of the rights issues .....

if tommorrow the bb push the share price below 0.60 say 0.50. Genting will be in deep trouble, those holding the right will not convert to mothershare.
eblim77, your calculation on the share prices in 3 - 7 yrs seem logical & conservative. I think I had received the same email as u. Likely we are having the same broker...hehe...:)
the shareholders let go their right today, they are not interested to subscribe for mothershare.
The shareholders do not have money. That is why they need to issue rights. Let alone they will buy in their rights on hand.
Anyway, It seems that a lot of singaporeans from white collar to blue collar to no collar job people are buying in this stock.
You can see the popularity of this stock and glad to know from people that they are holding on to this stock for long term.
I wonder if any of the shareholders bought in large quantity of shares today just to lure more people into buying their rights?
The trading near at the end of the day looks dubious. Unease feeling.
Any expert to advise on this.
It was heartening to see the rights price drop from 10+ cents to .05-1 cent. Wonder what made the shareholders throw away the rights. Is it not worth anything? Will collect more and lock it up for the coming 2-3 yrs. I am sure one will be making 3-4 times by then. Cheers.
Look at today push by the BBs is the faded one.....
Tomorrow, all the BBs will throw at 60cents...........and worst that below 50cents......WHY ?
So that all holding rights at 1cents + 60cents will have to any how dump and Bbs will stay at the side line to fish the bottom fish........
Genting Int current market value about $6.3 billion
It holds 100% of sentosa IR and UK casino Stanley leisure, Maxim etc.
Simple estimate:-
It invest 5.3 billion in Sentosa IR, if IR smoothly develop and implement the IR.
Assume at year 2010,
If
1) Sentosa IR value say at 10 billion +
2) UK casino value = 2 billion +
3) potential of other IR develop = 1 billion
Hence it value estimate $1 to $1.2 per share.
During that time, it should has stable business and stable income, issue reasonable dividend (like Malaysia Genting berhad), it good chance to be another bluechip counter listed in SGX
long term hold for 3-7 years.
Pension, I think tourists or gamers will go to whichever one which they have better luck there. Guess once you step inside the casino, it will all be the same, ya? I dun know, just guessing. Just like shopping, I go to where I like the products and the price is right combo.

I think genting will be better IR than sand in marina because it is outside CBD and ERP. I think tourist will prefer genting than sand.
Wat are the chances that a person can bid for excess rights at a ATM?

mike22, usually mothershare move up the daughtershare follow, but this counter is abit funny. I think the bb had accumulate enough of daughtershare and they are going to be aggressive in push the mothershare up tommorrow onward. I hope my prediction is right.
mothershare 0.645 and daughter 0.05, why there is a different now compare to yesterday??? if you read my posting, maybe I am correct in my prediction.
do you know one thing about the bb, they are greedy, they want the mother and daughter.
