Sands China is doing very well in HKSE

It would be exciting if Marina Bay Sands also get listed in Singapore

if can allow MBS to easily raise capital  to fund to new land purchase  from Gov ( if and only if Gov allow)   , by  offering a price that is too attractive for Gov to refuse and we would have high GDP growth for  many 5 years again.

This is another short path  which the Gov may consider?

Perhaps need to expedite as time is running short, as soon no more knowledge transfer needed by China as they would know everything they need to know and even become better than SG in almost every sector.

Taiwan is already feeling the heat.

even if the result is good.. it doesnt mean tat it will go up to $2 :)

just look at capital

Since the company buying back  the shares, the  prices has risen from $1.78 to $1.95 and now stabilizing at $1.90. Going up to $2 and above is just a matter of time. I think the company is protecting the interest of the shareholders by showing their confidence of the company in  protecting the share prices from going down. Just look at Tiger Air which is a good example...

actually.. now they already  have the results..

those numbers are presented by them anyway :P

Citigold      ( Date: 30-Jul-2011 21:17) Posted:

If the Q2 result are not that good, why did Genting Berhad bought in so much shares before the Q2 result announcement? They could have buy in after the Q2 result if they anticipate the Q2 result will cause GenSP share price to drop.

The buy in by Genting Berhad will also inject confidence to investors.

Of course, anything might happens.Let wait and see the show on mid August.

You are right...

It may possibly go to 3.00 first,

            then drop back to 1.60...

over a many-months period, of course... Smiley

BNP recommends BUY on Genting with Target Price at $2.42

MBS reports good 2Q11 results
GENS’s rival Las Vegas Sands (LVS US,
not rated) said in its 2QFY11 results
release on Wednesday that Marina Bay
Sands (MBS) posted 2Q11 adjusted
EBITDA of USD405.4m (SGD490m), up
42% q-q. Casino revenue was 81% of net
revenue in 2Q11.
All areas saw growth
Key drivers were: (1) Stronger volumes
across the entire gaming floor: q-q, VIP
volume rose 21% to USD12.2b, mass
market volume rose 13% to USD1.1b and
slot handles were up 17%. (2) VIP luck factor improved, resulting in the
win ratio normalising from 2.56% (1Q11) to 2.99%. (3) Hotel occupancy
was 90.9%, up from 86.3% in 1Q11, and ARR improved to USD268 from
USD246 in 1Q11. This boosted MBS’s EBITDA margin to 55% from
48.6% in 1Q11. The average number of gaming tables in play declined to
606 from 651 in 1Q11 while the slot and Electronic Table Game (ETG)
numbers rose marginally to 2,297 from 2,289. Management said the
ETGs during the weekends generate as much as USD1,100/terminal,
which is very strong and possibly one of the drivers of the stronger mass
market growth vs 1Q11. Management guided that, based on the July
performance and the current strong summer holiday season arrivals,
3Q11 will likely be better.
BUY GENS, TP of SGD2.42 offers 26% upside
GENS will release its 2Q11 numbers mid-August. 1Q11 saw good VIP
win ratio of 3.8% boost the company’s overall performance. If the luck
factor normalises to 2.8-3.0%, EBITDA would be SGD350m-420m. We
believe it may be inaccurate to extrapolate MBS’s results across to
GENS, as the Singapore market is not saturated. GENS is opening the
Western Zone and more hotel rooms are to come in 2011, which would
mean an increase in patronage for the casino and the theme park.
Separately, Genting Bhd (GENT MK) came to the market to buy more
shares in GENS, its third this year. This time it bought 9.6m shares at
SGD1.80/share and this edged up its stake to 51.94% from 51.86%.
We maintain our BUY rating and SoTP-derived TP of SGD2.42 for
GENS. The share price increased 7% on Wednesday in anticipation of a
similar strong performance from GENS.

  Hope this info is helpful

Don't have any stocks will keep going up and not taking a rest.

BBs will wait short term player to sell off their shares 1st before broke out.

If these few days Genting SP is hovering above the long white candle stick.

Gen SP is still health with possibility being consolidated by BBs before another push.

3 billions shares and 1 billion share have done these 2 days definitely not the work from retails player.
