I am going to expect much the same for STI today. A small gap-up, followed by some possible profit-taking, and then going flat again.

This will be the general pattern for next few days.

Thomson Medical full-year net profit surged by 27.8% to $16.3m

Mainboard-listed Thomson Medical Centre, one of the leading private healthcare providers for women and children, posted a 27.8% surge in net profit after tax (NPAT) to $16.3 million for the financial year ended 31 August 2010 (FY2010) on the back of a 21.2% growth in revenue to $81.7 million.

Revenue from Hospital Operations and Ancillary Services segment increased 11.2% from $51.9 million in FY2009 to $57.7 million in FY2010, representing 70.6% of the group’s total revenue.

The strong growth in this business segment was due to a 4.2% rise in number of patient referrals, increase in deliveries of 4.1% from 8,907 babies in FY 2009 to 9,268 babies in FY2010 and strong growth in diagnostic imaging services, Parentcraft services and other ancillary services.

Revenue from Specialised and Other Services surged 54.7% to $24.0 million in FY2010 from $15.5 million in FY2009. This is attributable to strong debut by our 8-month old Thomson Paediatric Centre (TPC), full year contribution from Thomson Women Cancer Centre (TWCC) and continued growth in patient load and revenue from our network of clinics under Thomson Women Clinics (TWC)

The net profit grew by 28.3% to $16.3 million mainly due to the growth in revenue, better gross margin and prudent management of administrative and other operating expenses. The increase in these expenses is attributable mainly to higher staff count and depreciation charges in relation to the renovation of the wards in FY 2009.

The group’s financial position remains strong with a fixed deposit and cash and bank balance of $30.5 million as at 31 August 2010, up from $20.6 million as at 31 August 2009. Bank borrowings decreased to $1.4 million as at 31 August 2010 from $2.7 million as at 31 August 2009 with gearing ratio of less than 1%. The group maintained its net cash position and generated $22.2 million of operating cash flow in FY2010, up 15.7% from $19.1 million in FY 2009. Total equity rose to $142.1 million from $111.3 million. Net asset value per share rose 27.2% from 38.12 cents per share to 48.48 cents per share.

Directors are recommending a one- tier tax-exempt final dividend of 2.0 cents per shares representing a payout ratio of 57.8%.

Yes Gaecia, the first couple of lunches will not involve any sponsors from brokers. I need to know how many are committed or seriously interested in signing up before I pull the brokers in. I do not want to jeopardize my relationship with the brokers either.

Yeah couldn't sleep last night, so might as well fish for more information around. Actually you are right to think along those lines, however qe2 is not fully priced in yet as part of G20 meeting agenda is to block qe2 from going ahead as too much liquidity flowing into asian countries might cause asset bubbles to form in the property and stock markets.

So there is still doubt as to whether qe2 might go ahead and if so, what will be size of the qe2? The Fed is famous for taking short term stance against economic problems. Its like taking antibiotics to kill bad bacteria in the short term, but in the long term also weakening the whole body because good bacteria is also killed. At this point in time, China is also adding to the problem because they refuse to devalue their currency and a more highly valued American dollar causes them to lose competitiveness and therefore causing them a lot of jobs. Currently American have a 9.8% unemployment rate.

The voters, the common people on the street, do not care for long term economic health, they only care that they get a job! They care more about getting food on the table for their children!

So how is the Fed going to solve this problem? Print more money! The more money they print, the more the American dollar gets devalued! Since China refuses to devalue, this is the only option left for America. Make the American dollar cheaper, increase competitiveness (in terms of international trade), decrease unemployment rate, and hopefully get more voters to vote for them.

America is running out of options. QE2 has to go ahead now, because for the past 2 months, they have been releasing news and hyping it up. If suddenly Fed says it is a no go, they will lose public confidence and even more votes. Now it is only a question of how big or how small the QE2 package will be.

Ok for those asking about best rates given by the CFD (DMA) brokers, I just received this email from Saxo

With regards to the rate our insti rate is the best. No gst. For the feeds level 1 is free. Level2 need to check for you cos exchange charge us 30sgd for market depths.

For the technicals its a yes to all your questions. For the type of orders yes as well but for the "guaranteed" stop loss we don't use the word guarantee. Too dangerous honestly I can be sued if I say yes haha. But 99.9% of the time your stop losses are triggered.

Cheers
Crissy

ok only ba.

stochatics dropping, RSI cut down 70%, macd 26,12,9 twisting together,

good news is low volume. OBV still quite stable.

27 august and 9 sept 18 oct. pattern shows extremely low volume before bull.

people if i am right, within this week bull run again most likely, wed or thurs ba.

all 3 times the rsi rebound along the 70% mark. however only on 18/10 did mcad cut.

strangely all 3 times CCI 20, shows overbought region. but i guess it is not that accurate ba.

can someone advise?

No no, this thread is for everyone. Everybody will have something good to contribute about daily trading opportunities.

If you look at the chart, GenSp has refused to go down below 2.22 for the past 4 candles. So 2.22 has proven to be a good support till now. If 2.22 support breaks, the next support level is 2.20.

Don't really understand about the capital question?

Anyway its late, time to sleep  Smiley

if down 2.170, 2.07

if up 2.23, 2.240

higher chance i see is down..

good luck! don't base on my speculation of pricing!

btw, BT starting trading late must have capital, if early/late must have good guidance..as in for age. i replied thru ur previous post in sgx or gent forum.? correct me if i am wrong
