I talked to my broker. The retail commission is actually 0.3 % . Very high. Ig markets is only 0.2 % If you are a volume trader, they will lower it.

Hi BT, just curious, yesterday long candle for LVS, most of movement is in the first hour of trading, the rest of day are rather flat, resistance near the closing price. What can you understnad from this?

its sibor +2%, not just 2%
This is per annum, so you need to divide by 365 days to get the per day interest.

Hi BT, just curious, yesterday long candle for LVS, most of movement is in the first hour of trading, the rest of day are rather flat, resistance near the closing price. What can you understnad from this?

Hi fools gold, you are looking at CFDs yes?
I am with MF Global, opened account last year. Wanted to switch to Ig markets or Saxo recently, but MF Global lowered commission from 0.18% to 0.165% so I decided to stay with them. Financing is sibor +2% for long positions with MF.
Ig Markets offering 0.2% commission, financing 2.5% (retail investors)
Saxo offering 0.22% commission, financing 3% (retail investors)

I saw that their rating is only 5, indicating weak fundalmental and MACD also show Bearish. But BT have mentioned this morning that the trend is still Bullish.

so i did my maths,and i realised, after exit and entry, cutting my holdings by half. i made a net loss today.
had i just sell half my holdings at 2.13, i would actually profit from not buying in again at 2.12.
i sold all at 2.13, buy in half of what i sold at 2.12. total net loss for today should be $10.
