5 to 8 is also quite a lot.

I only uses 3. Moving Average, MACD and Candlesticks.

And I'm still thinking of dumping MACD.

The funny thing is that... The less I use, the better I get.

Actually, there is a saying that Indicators were released by the BBs to confuse and set up traps for retail buyers.

i also agree that if one uses too many tools, indicators, formulae, it may just cloud his/her mind.

therefore i think use about 5-8 would be comfortable enough? or maybe 10? i'm not too sure  Smiley

not expect stocks to conform to such rules, just that i like to  use indicators, formulae to help increase the probability of getting a good price and also increase  the probability of following the trend

Try some simple lines,

the simpler the system, the better...

          Why create unnecessary problems ?...

But if one likes to study indicators,

                      formulae and mechanical or scientific

                            stuff purely for academic reasons,

then by all means do it... But to expect

stocks to conform to such rules is folly.. Smiley

Frankly, I am not  all that  focused on SAR right now, its just in my watch list for the sake of being there. I'll take glances every other day and will only  look further if the price/range interest me. Mondays $2.8+ just happened to catch my eye and  I 'rashly' placed a small  'bet'. Only half a pocket of candies

Gaecia      ( Date: 28-Jun-2011 11:14) Posted:

So how would  you know at 2.88  on actual last  Thurs whether  sar is  making a top or bottom? Becos it bounced off that level of support at end at 2.93, most people will tend to think it is trying to bottom out.

artng25      ( Date: 28-Jun-2011 11:06) Posted:

Just sharing, from what I've read, hammers  should only  make some kind of sense if it appears at the bottom of the charts just like shooting stars  should only have some kind of implication  if its at the top of the chart. Thank goodness i was out the whole of  Frida
